If you have been an Xbox gamer for a long time, you know that Xbox always revamp the dashboard and its not limited to the launch of the console. I still like the Katana blades on the X360.
Like many have mentioned, unlike Sony, MS usually changes their console dashboards many times during a generation. Both the original 360 and Xbox One's dashboards ended up completely different by the end of a lifecycle. As long as it's smooth to traverse, I really don't care about what they do.
The "new" ui looks meh. Renders on Twitter have better ideas to show what's wanted and still allow more of the wallpaper to come thru. Resizable options would also help. ID @xbox is normally a good time to see stuff, no complaints. Pre order cancelation sucks, but hey, they company has people fighting a war.
It's also insanely difficult to do. An ecosystem that runs across multiple devices with seamless transitions across operating on consoles, PC, Android, iOS, TV's etc. When Playstation can't even get their storefront unified (and that's where the money comes in!!!) this speaks volumes to the technical skill and ingenuity in Xbox's OS and dash.
Personally all I want for the dashboard is more customisation. Perhaps they can allow you to have different layouts. Like you can have the xbox 360 layout or the current one and you can switch what appears in the boxes. At the moment I hate how I cant have multiple lists of games. For example, I want to organise it into recently played, my favourites, different genres so they are much easier to find than going through my games and apps. We should be able to make multiple pages as well that can each have their own layout so that way I can keep the main dashboard but then add another page with an entirely new layout with the list of my favourite games and I can attatch things to do with those games such as clubs, updates etc. Also I think achievements need to be more worthwhile and to do that, they could make custom animated backgrounds or dashboard music for some achievements. I would love to have halo music play and the halo ring slowly appear in the background as you load up your xbox. If they wanted to go even crazier have it so you can have different xbox start ups. They could maybe even have certain music/backgrounds attached to certain games so that if I played sea of theives last I can have a sea of thieves themed dashboard but if I then play forza it changes to a forza themed dashboard.. This will help add your own flavour to your xbox that will make it entirely unique and there is so much they can do that will add more options for dashboard customisation
That’s a bummer about stalker 2 I was really looking forward to playing it in a few months, hope the devs are cool though got to be tough for them right now.
To be honest i´m not happy, with the XBOX dashboard since the XBOX One. They should bring back the blade dashboard, like on the XBOX 360. If it ain´t broke, don´t fix it. Don´t get me wrong, i´m an XBOX fan and i´m more than happy, with my XBOX Series X but this doesn´t make XBOX resistant against criticism. Bring back the blade dashboard.
No ads and the option to remove anything from the homescreen for people that want a minimalist view, how difficult is that to implement greedy Microsoft?

I am still waiting the shipping confirmation email from Vale about my steam deck, anybody knows how long do they take to shipping the console after we complete the payment?
I honestly don't care about the Xbox dashboard only thing I use it for is to send messages I don't think it's that big of a deal and to access my games that's basically about it
I'm hating that they still haven't removed ads from the home screen. Honestly with us having to pay for a subscription it should get rid of ads as a part of it.
Gamepass only hope is delayed indefinitely... Well this was actually my most anticipated game for years. Sad the Ukraine situation. I know 2 Ukrainian. One of them is subcontractor for some of my contracts. Good people they are.

Agree with you, Plume. I find the current dashboard easy to navigate, customize, and find what I need.

The one feature i really liked was seeing peoples clips on xbox now you have to do it manually and most people dont do it 👎🏻
I don’t like the new dashboard based off the picture it just makes the dynamic and personalized backgrounds even more useless

Loved origins and odyssey but I didn't like valhalla

I want either the original xbox(2001) dashboard or original xbox 360 dashboard. If we can't customize it, make one dashboard and leave it tf alone.

no one wants these dash changes ... xbox keeps ruining and changing the dash and it's worse every time

I heard people talking about it and for me their ads aren't bad. That helps me to play or watch something o may never heard of.
