I'm from the UK, some years back lived in a rural area, behind our house was a wood, private property with a public footpath running through, the owner who lived in a house in the wood was quite happy to let locals walk anywhere in the wood, have picnics just as long as they gave his home and immediate area respect. Then a gang of dirt bikers found the place and thought it was great to find an unfenced woodland and proceeded to rip up any and every footpath, surprising though it may sound every access bar the public footpath was quickly blocked and a narrow gate and stile fitted for the public footpath, next time the dirt bikers arrived, couldn't get into the wood so decided to use the cricket pitch next to the wood for their jollys, having had their fun then went into the wood for a drinking, dope smoking session, all their bikes were parked by a very deep drainage ditch, must have been a very strong gust of wind as all their bikes fell in, they called the cops (idiots) got booked for the damage to cricket pitch, smoking and carrying dope and just for fun blocking the drainage ditch, cops made enquiries but couldn't solve the riddle of how the bikes fell in the ditch, they came back looking for trouble, but found themselves outnumbered one or two falling over and injuring themselves, once again the local cops couldn't find anyone else involved except the bikers. Things don't change much, plus of course every incident like that just screws it up for bikers who want to have fun without being a total anti-social pest.
