Oakland was nasty back in the late 80s, early 90s huh... Great game tho. Seems like these Sox teams were a little light on offense....and it seems like they left Clemens in a bit too long. Heartbreaking loss for the Sox....Tony Phillips had an amazing at bat there.

@The Tom Wassell Show How Clemens didn't easily win the Cy Young in 1990 is baffling to me. An under 2 ERA and gave up 7 HRS in 228 IPs.

The A's wrecked Clemens so bad this series that he just plain gave up 2 years later by getting himself thrown out of the game.
Still don't think they should have ejected him in a playoff game.....was a little much.
