Loved last week's garden challenge and I've been a busy bee putting all your gardening ideas to work on my 5 raised beds 🙌 I haven't heard you talk yet about growing potatoes and sweet potatoes. I plunged a few potatoes in the middle of 2 beds with some peppers & beans. 🤞

After 3 years of container gardening on my 80 Sq ft townhouse deck, I've made more progress following hours the last 2 months than ever before! I love it and can see myself slowly starting a coaching business and withdrawing from my corporate job. I’ve never planted a whole bed at one time. My plants grow in different seasons.
None of those cool season leaves and roots get planted at the same time as squash tomatoes or cucumbers. They are all dying when I plant warm season plants.
I have to plant with blank spaces for the next crop that will be planted next. I’m not pulling out perfectly good plants to make space. That’s a waste of money.
I treat my garden like a revolving door for plants, as well. We only pull out plants when they're done producing/past their prime

How could I plant the fruit plants in the middle, when I start planting in the cool season?
All fruit plants are warm or hot season plants. And now the cool season leaves are not ready to harvest, but I should plant the fruit plants. The cool leafy greens need much longer than the 60 days of your plant list with the last frost date (we had mid may). Salads and radishes are still small and last week I could harvest my first of them. I‘m a little confused.
But I still love your channel! Perhaps youcan give me an answer and help?!
There are a couple fruiting plants that can handle some frost in the cool season, including snow peas and sugar snap peas. When it warms up a bit, you can do fava beans. We think of each garden as more a gradual seasonal turnover. You're cutting salad greens while you're waiting on your fruiting plants to grow, etc.

It would make no sense to plant my herbs on the borders. My dill is 4ft tall and I plant it in the center row along with tall flowers. I wouldn’t be able to see anything else if I planted them on the border.
We typically mean perennial herbs on the borders
