Parts of this Fall 1978 series have already been uploaded by Yocathyberger, but they had been edited to Rick & Lesley. some of the footage will be a repeat of what you've already seen, but here are the full ep's for the diehard Classic GH fans.
Young Genie Francis giving us her all. What an acting prodigy she was. I was hooked on her storylines at this time (David Hamilton). She single handedly brought younger viewers back to GH. Sorry Ken Shriner and Jackie Zeman. You couldn't have brought in the ratings without Genie. Later Gloria Monty learned the same too late.
The fact Genie didn't get an Emmy until 1997 should be a crime.
Yes I agree but Anthony Geary to me was the best star of the soaps.
That was the best 15 minutes and 17 seconds I spent all weekend. All week in fact! I've watched since 1979 but never saw these until YoCathy. Love watching the full episodes.
This scene was so well written, so layered and such a good story to follow. "Little Laura" huh. I am still waiting to see the first real moment that Luke starts liking Laura. I can't wait.
Bobbie, I wouldn’t get too excited. That Karma gone come back hard… sometimes around 1988.
Hope the guy is still not holding Mr. Baldwins room.

That yelling of his certainly gave viewers a glance at the dark side of Luke Spencer. I have never understood what Laura saw in him. Scotty was a good guy back then, and so handsome! TG was a great actor. I guess the ratings started to climb when he was matched with GF. The soap was facing cancellation. Gloria Monty just ran with it, and the show was saved. Things were heating up for the summer on the run. 1980 was a banner year for GH.

I will never forget the day when I was in middle school and had to run home from the bus stop to watch GH. I said to a girl on the bus, "I wish I had a watch that was a TV so I could not miss my show", she said, "oh, that will never happen". Guess what, we have Apple watches we can now watch GH on.
There were TV Radios back then---portable radio that picked up TV station signals with a bit of static. I always brought mine to school back then. Confiscated once, but they gave it back and I just kept on listening discreetly. GH not so much in 1978, I could run home to catch most of that----but I was always grateful to have my TV Radio to listen to All My Children which was spectacular during 78.

No doubt Genie Francis. Then in this order, Vanessa Marcil, Kristina Wagner and Emma Samm
Hands down Genie Francis, even in these early years with little makeup she is gorgeous.

Yes. Years later when Luke was drugged by Helena and deliriously reliving the past. Laura didn't care. She was just worried about Luke.
I can attest that Jackie Zeman is much like her character Bobbi when her character was wicked back then....and let me tell you why I say this. When I had two speaking words on the show and a lot of background work tor a day I saw Jackie Zeman and I felt like I knew these people as I watched the show since I was around 13. So then I gave this big smile and her face went up in a bunch like anger and she looked like she was going to hit me. Than as I did my tiny scene she watched from a distance.
And when she was laughing about something I smiled and her face fell. (stopped laughing and looked mad or upset)
I also met Stuart Damon and he was super nice, and the girl who played Lois and this was in the 90s and I was super young. Another actor who I can't remember his real name I think Sean Kanan was bitching that they need to have my character look more busy in a scene. Maurice Benard winked at me. Vanessa Marcil was walking around with a sad face and as if she was just beaten up.....
Oh, and Shell Kepler gave me a big smile and said hi and kept smiling. But later on when I was walking to the commons Jackie was standing with Shell and laughing looking at me so Jackie may have been talking crap to Shell about me but can't confirm this as of course I didn't hear what she said.
I am not even Jackie's age nor did she know me. I also heard others who said Jackie could be rude or standoffish if they saw her out somewhere and approached her... I can concur on this. but now she always says "blessed" on her social medias. Some Christians are the biggest hypocrites and judge people they don't know. This was in the mid 90s. 1996.

Good thing this was only for the day, I hate being bullied. So before she recently talks about bullying in schools and her concerns, bullying an adult on the job is not any better. She was having her success and glory and trying to rain on my parade. Her character back then is how she really is from what I experienced. I think some of these people get heads too big for their own good and I wonder how they fit their heads walking through a door way.
Shelby am so sorry. I know to lil to late I had No idea that you where ever treated that ugly and cold way? So sorry hon wow you are so right! Maybe its hard for them to get up in the mornings. ? Well trying to get there big heads off there pillows?????? JMVHO! PEACE & LOVE ROSIE!

You can go to my playlists for each year and see if there are any clips you've missed..... They're mostly in order..... except for 80 & 81. I have some organizing to do on those lists...

Luke's Interaction with Bobby is how he is with most women! I have never been a fan of this character. The Actor AMAZING!
Higgins reminds me of the reporter that was trailing David Banner (The Incredible Hulk).
Just interesting to hear how many times TG mispronounces something and has to try to roll through it.
I guess his acting skills improved a lot over time.

Not to be disrespectful but Genie now at age almost 59 when I watch the current Genie I noticed her face is pumped full of Botox and fillers, and this gives such a artificial weird look when you get too much of this. I know she will not look the same now as she did in 1979 but her and Jackie Zeman over did the fillers. Their faces get stiff and their mouths look strange and they can hardly move their face muscles and they are playing their actual age so why go through all this to look like the clown or a cat woman?
And when she speaks her voice sounds like botox to death probably because it's affecting her muscles so bad she can barely talk. .
Same with the recent Judge Marilyn Milian.
Same with Leslie Charleston.

Was this the first time Luke laid eyes on Laura? Or was it in 1979? I'm Confused. I saw an episode in 1979, Where Laura was being introduced to Luke by Brian. Which is it?
