    Number one safety feature is watch you temperature gadge. If you go trough grass or weeds you will clough your radiator in a half an hour. Dont make this catastrofic mistake. Your head gasket will say thank you. Greetings from Croatia

    Amen on the benefits of the "quick attach" front end loaders!!

    I believe you've mentioned this before, but a good leaf blower is your friend. I never put my Kubota to bed without first going over the entire machine and attachments, particularly the engine compartment, with my blower.

    Great tips ... Radiator Genie is one of the best - love mine ... thank you for all your videos and for helping all of us novelist tractor owners.

    Those loader cylinder safety stops are SUCH a good idea! I'm surprised they are not required, and included as standard equipment when you buy a new tractor/loader.

      A set came with my Branson. I think they could be a little longer...
      Get C channel, cut to length. You have your safety stops.

    If you have a cab model with A/C, one indicator I learned real quick of a clogged radiator filter(s) is your a/c will quit blowing cold air. I thought I had a problem with just the a/c system because the engine temp wasn't going up so continued to cut.. during the heat of the Arkansas summer, in a cab no less. I finally had enough and had to stop. I popped the hood to check things out, saw the clogged filters and a light bulb went off, duh. lol... cleaned the filters and was able to ride in an air cooled cab again.

      My temp gauge is sensitive, and I watch it.
      I can see the difference in normal on a 60 deg day vs a 80 deg day with a clean radiator. Right at one needle width.
      I was taught to always pay attention to the gauges.

    I see you will be in Rainier, Oregon on the 25th... Only about 60 miles from us.. would love to be able to get up there and meet you, but... Farming to do..

    I like taking the whole loader off for using the rotary cutter. It feels like the tractor rides better. and gives even more ability to maneuver around stuff.
    And for that flashing magnetic rear light... might want to put transparent red tape on so it's a flashing red.

    @chevyon37s 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    For rear tire pressure... Set by tire contact patch. That’ll give you the best wear and traction. For those R4 tires two tread bars/ lugs on one side contacting the ground. With R1’s go for 3.

    Back to my old Highway Maintainer days mowing interstate and 2 lane right of ways. You can’t have to many lights to increase visibility. Something I always did which always good for roll over protection was wearing the seat belt. I was always afraid of a car hitting the batwing and throwing off the operator platform to the ground and being mowed up by the mower. Not a pretty thought. I was more scared of that than roll over

    Mike, I didn’t find the cylinder safety stop on your page.

    Mike, I have just bought a 2021 Kubota MX6000 and have 140 hours on it. We have 60 acres of which have has to be mowed. How do you find the balance of not running the hrs up but needing to get your money's worth out of it, (658.00 a month)? I have found a guy who bales it up to cut down the hrs, but still have a thousand things to do. Do you have a video? Or perhaps you can make one, Thanks!

    Hey Mike your right side cylinder guard is missing the safety pin.

      @TractorMike  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Good eyes! I just brought home a new one from the local Farm & Home store. Got ready to do the video and could only find one. I don't know how in the world I lose so many pins/keys/keepers, but I do!

    • @samengler539
      @samengler539 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Lol those pins are designed with an earth magnet built into them. Keeps us all buying more pins. Keep up the good work I enjoy all your videos.

      @JCWren 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@TractorMike You could always drill a 3/16" hole in the stop and tether the pin to it with section of 1/8" aircraft cable. That's what I do with the pins for my quick hitch hook.

    Ref: the cylinder stops, I didn't see them on your website under any of the classifications (unless I missed it) and only found them via the search function, and I then ordered..

    Mike, Good information, but you never want a white light facing backwards, its usually illegal. You should put the white on top of the tractor facing forward and the orange strobe on the gearbox.

    Showing white light on the rear of a vehicle is illegal in many states.

    I was always taught to NEVER use water for cleaning out the radiator fins because it would turn the dirt and debris into a "solid" that would ruin the air flow.
    I use the Radiator Genie with the air attachment and it seems to blow out all of the debris.
    I am assuming that IF water is used that you would want to be sure that your radiator is COMPLETELY DRY before going out into the field.

    • @JCWren
      @JCWren 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      True enough, but once the radiator is hot (which takes virtually no time at all), it's going to be dry.

  • @GosselinFarmsEdGosselin
    @GosselinFarmsEdGosselin 2 ปีที่แล้ว

    We use water ONLY if we have to!! And ALWAYS blow as much of the water out as you can!! A little bit of dampness in the coolers and radiator, will trap dust better than a "dust buster"!! And cause even more issues....

  • @chevyon37s
    @chevyon37s 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Pretty sure a flashing white light facing rearward isn’t legal.

    Sorry to see you succumbing to the ad revenue demon. The whole radiator gene concept is a joke. There are simple ways to accomplish the same things with tools we already have such as a leaf blower. I am very disappointed that you are presenting BS products like this without disclaimers. Appears to me you are putting generating add revenue over providing legitimate info to your viewers.
