Beautiful portrait captured who Kobe truly was. An amazing human being, with the love for his wife Vanessa and his girls. Till this day I cry everyday for him and his Gigi. If the choice of a photo was a conclusion after some analysis about him, his life and connection to the public then, in my opinion, it goes against most of if not all your premisses. I wouldn't argue against whoever feels that photo is downplaying/erasing his greatness and legacy. He is downsized to a vulnerable/torn up athlete which is the exact opposite of the largest if not the entire portion of who he was. That picture represent a discovered Kobe, not Kobe the world knew. The display is for the public why a photo from a quiet() moment. The way he showed up in the first place represented his personality and that is how and what he would want everybody to remember him down the road. Is this quite moment a thing for all in the gallery or just Kobe?
