I don’t generally post comments, but as someone who’s recently made it 3 years clean, I thought I’d share some encouraging words and resources (other than videos like these 😊) that I personally liked for those still struggling… As Nagito would say, there is always hope! I self harmed actively for about 2 years and spent about 2 years trying to stop. I still get triggers from time to time, but I’ve learned how to deal them better. So if you’re beating yourself up for having short milestones or none at all, don’t give up! Ending self harm is not an easy process, and it takes a lot of practice and trial and error to figure out how to handle your triggers and redirect your thoughts. But it IS possible! I personally found some Dialectal Behavioral Therapy (DBT) skills called the “Wise Mind ACCEPTS” to be helpful when experiencing a trigger, and I thought I’d share them with you here: dbtselfhelp.com/dbt-skills-list/distress-tolerance/accepts/ I also did Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help redirect my thoughts. This is a CBT thought record that you’re supposed to fill out when you start spiraling or having intrusive thoughts. it's a miracle I found this video today, I've been thinking of ruining my streak of 2 weeks (almost 3) because of a few things that went wrong, the thoughts have been getting worse by the second and this entirely made my day, thank you so much Kyler
i've been clean 4 almost 3 weeks but i've been feeling really depressed/suicidal lately & i did "it" again so finding this was amazing & it helped a lot
