Bravo! Kol Nidrei, meaning 'all vows' is a prayer sung in synagogues at the beginning of Yom Kippur and there's something deeply spiritual to be found in this superb performance. Thank you.
On a side note, I can't stop staring at Braimah who is so into it like the rest of us that at one point he forgets to turn the page😂 and towards the end when the cello gets really deep, his expression says it all. Love this trio and really appreciate the entire talented Kanneh-Mason family!
Hear, hear! Brimah’s expression was priceless! I’ve listened to this endlessly. What magnificent food for soul! Thank you Sheku and Isata! Mesmerizing!🤗🤗🤗🎻🎹🎼
I don't know how many times I've listened to this; nor how many times I've cried! I just love these kids (all 7 of them talented bunch) but more importantly I'm just thankful that I got to know them and am now listening obsessively to their renditions of my favorite classical pieces. God bless them.
The beauty of the playing creeps up on you gradually, it is extremely emotional to me, they do it so well & without showing many gestures of their own, its all concentrated into the music! Just Wonderful!
Gorgeous. Incandescent with chiaroscuro light on our human wrestle with the divine and transcendent. Just Beautiful and brilliant. Best live take of the Hymn For The Day of Atonement that I have ever found. Thank you Sheku KM and Isata KM, or, is that Jeneba KM on the Piano. I don't know the girls well enough to tell. Wow wow wow well done!
Very well played, what a feat of synchronization between the sister and brother on such a largely free tempo piece! she seems to know exactly when her brother is going to hit the beat and hits her's too, spot on!
How many instruments does each Kanneh-Mason play? What a glorious pleasure to hear such lovely playing and to know such beauty and grace still exists in the world. I wish for you all many, many years of health, happiness, joy and success.
Ah ah, Chris Gomez, you are probably right, so i try to translate my question. What does it have to do with god ? All the members of this family work and practice a lot, in a creative atmosphère.
Soooo proud l had to do a feature on my Instagram blog today. Thanku to your parents for recognising your potential and you all for pursuing it 🎓🎼👊🏾🙏🏿 Beautiful let the Musik do the talking xxx -Rainbow Blak ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Chicken skin. Every piece. I am tuned in to Stuart Mason's channel and just listening to as it segues on line. I am so relaxed and happy today. Thanks to the Kanneh-Mason family.
Just a word about "talent". Saying that a person has 'talent' sounds like some innate gift that was bestowed by some lucky chance. It denies the artist credit for many, many hours of practice and study and hard work!
I'm not sure which piano Isata is playing but I think a Bosendorfer would have sounded the deep bass better at the start. Now then, when your comment is on the instrument, then the player is above reproach, eh? And I haven't even gotten to Sheku. Can you imagine a long holiday in their parents' home? The conversations would be riveting, the playing lovely moments.
The tone and the expression is great, but I thought he was rushing a bit. I like this piece to flow, but every note need to finish (every note is important). But great job :)

This family has become one of the treasures of Great Britain. Just my opinion...
So true.
Try the World, as far as I'm concerned.
I would say Great Britain has become one of the musical treasures of the world: Kanneh Mason family.
@@gonzalovaldivia3835 Es cierto.

Right? She's like, "I'll just turn it myself." I love them all!
Page turning intimidates me more than playing.

I love the way this family communicates with each other. A look, an eye, a slight twist of the lip. So cool.
How is it possible to have so many talents in 1 family? Please remind me, is this family from planet earth? Joh!! What a joy to behold.
The most beautiful piece for the cello. It literally cries. Pitch perfect. Very talented family. All very distinct musicians in their own right.
I don't know how many times I've listened to this; nor how many times I've cried!

Isata - Piano, Violin, Viola
Braimah - Violin, Piano
Sheku - Cello, Piano
Konya - Piano, Violin
Jeneba - Piano, Cello
Aminata - Violin, Piano
Mariatu - Cello, Piano
apparently one of the younger girls also sings!
Two play violin, one plays piano and violin, one plays piano, and Sheku and his little sister both play cello
Tu est très fort sheku.
That's Aminata I believe
What can I say? Absolutely amazing! I am hooked on Kennah-Mason music!
I feel at peace when I listen to this music, it is like a prayer to God.
Yes. That's the reason the Hymn For The Day of Atonement was written.
Exquisite! Love this great family of ultra-talented musicians.
very expressive, the two of you
thanks to youtube we can hear real (a)live pieces of music.
thanks to both of you, young and gifted :)
Jesus!! This guy is stunning!!
Masterful playing by this amazing young performer. Sheku is the crème de la crème!
Sheku, thank you for bringing so much joy into my life!
He makes me cry, just tears of RELEASE!!! I must NEED THAT!
And may I express the same.

Ay , Diosito , que bello es esto.
I don't know but the whole family is amazing and several of them play at least two different instruments.

yes he is rushing a little bit when compared with Luka Sulik performance of Kol Nidrei . He is talented and he plays beautifully
I think he's barely 16 here. I'd say that's pretty darn good for anyone at 16.
Perhaps this is Sheku's interpretation. Creative license is allowed. Comparing him to other cellists is not necessary.
Et pourtant c'est terriblement chiant, Max Bruch...
Mais pas là.
nice, but Jacqueline du Pre is the best
