I don't think it's a mess. In fact, I think this video will be a good resourse for younger persons with an interest in metal who might know a whole lot about pre-2000s metal.
Congrats on two years on TH-cam. Here’s to many, many more. I noticed this video this morning local time Bangkok, but it’s quite a lot longer than your normal videos, so I saved it up to watch now (this evening) with a glass of wine! And you’re right! Lemmy was right too! Therefore, for me it comes down to this: Muddy Waters and Howlin’ Wolf turned the delta blues electric in 40s and 50s Chicago, and gave birth to rock and roll. Everything else that followed-hard rock, punk, heavy metal, and beyond-are merely derivatives of that original electric blues sound.
Big congrats on 2 years of being on TH-cam. You did better on this video than I could do. My subscription definitely isn't going anywhere. Here to stay rockin with George G
Congrats George, I can't believe 2 years have gone by. Really enjoy your takes and blogs. And in my opinion I think " I Want You (She's so Heavy) by the Beatles is the first metal song. I think when I first heard that song, I listened to it 10 times in a row.
Congrats on 2 years George! I haven't many days off work lately so I am very behind on watching videos. Hopefully I can catch a couple of my favorite channels. Love that Blue Cheer album, it is a heavy album form the 60's. Led Zeppelin is one of my favorite bands. Deep Purple! Love them. Black Sabbath is another favorite, I believe I am just missing 3 of their albums maybe 4. Rainbow! I have 2 of their albums and listen to them both a lot and maybe the most out of the Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. Alice Cooper used to be my favorite band back in the 80's. Strangely, Aerosmith is a band I like but I only own one of their albums. Kiss is a staple, I remember when I was a kid that band scared me hahaha!! Never been a big AC/DC fan. Still watching but what a great video so far!!
Keep up the good work man, love watching these videos, you show a lot of my favorites on here, classic rock, thrash, death and beyond. Just an array of amazing variety 🤘 cheers
Congrats on 2 years on YT and thanks for all rhose good videos. Really interesting to hear your thoughts on the history of metal. Speaking of The Beatles, I think I'd also include "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" alongside "Helter Skelter". I think I'd include King Crimson's "Twentieth Centory Schizoid Man" because, while not metal, it has the demented darkness that you hear in a lot of metal a decade later. I think the 'Balls to the Wall' cover is cool; kudos to the band for having the, ahem, balls to include homoerotic artwork on a metal album.
Congratulations on doing this for 2 years George, that's really awesome man! You've achieved a lot in such a short amount of time! Great showcase on the history of Rock and Metal, so many important bands. You did an excellent job! 😁🤘🏻🤘🏻

Excellent point those older blues musicians were an important part of this music!
