Sending my infinite respects to Eric: one of the very few professional and knowledgeable political analysts in RA. Thanks for donating your time to the just cause.
Thank you so much Eric for your incredible work for Civilnet and Armenians around the world. Congratulations on 100th episode. Creating a program of this quality without any compensation is astounding. God bless!
Nice and transparent video. I hope more people like you will lead this country out of the dark times. Because at the end only people like Eric are so to speak the torches of light in those times. 🇦🇲🤝🏻
Congratulations. Your weekly commentary is a breath of fresh air. Most other news about Armenia is in service of effete political movements. Bravo Civilnet!
Love Eric 👏👏👏👏 i wonder if any of these critics have seen the show or if they did, had the intelligence level to understand what was being said. I think they see the Civil Net logo and talk nonsense.
As a patriotic Armenian, from a tashnag family, strongly opposed to the incompetent nikol, his party as well as the Republican party before, I will say Eric is in no way too soft of pashinyan. He promptly calls nikol out whenever he does something stupid or naive, which is fairly often. What our country needs is a leader like Eric who is rational, sharp witted and articulate, and influenced by or educated in the west. Not these Soviet era dinosaurs which we always end up with. I wonder how Eric's Armenian language skills are and whether he would be willing to take on the burden of running for PM.
Well, The problem is when you're sitting in an office you can make any statements without facing much consequences. However, becoming a politician changes the entire dynamics and you might say and act in a way that might be quite the opposite of what you used to believe and say due to political pressures and circumstances.
За что предков армян, цыган боша выгнали из Индии , потому что они впервые распространяли и агитировали гомосексуализм .Гомосексуализм они называли армянской шуткой
I disagree fundamentally with Armenia integrating into the West. No. Armenia should diversify its diplomacy to its absolute maximum. Asia, Africa, Latin America. There is much more to the world than the West. Integrating in the West means supporting their proxy wars left and right, and having a much more limited economic market. The reason Armenia is doing so well is because we know the market of this region, of the post-Soviet space. There is no way we can sell the same products in the West, not because they’re no good, but because the West will impose its products on Armenia and limit exports from Armenia. This is what the EU does. And we will not be free to join other groups or do business at an advantage, like Eurasia, Latin America, or Africa. The West is not the end all and be all of mankind. Let’s end this myth.
@@lehmejoun He called for integration, not alignment. Although aligning also has its own problems. Armenia should remain open to all alliances, not lean more one way or another. It's like we're forgetting that we're long-term neighbors with Iran and (for all practical purposes) Russia, somewhere closer to the Middle East and Central Asia than we are to Europe, the US, and Australia.
@@parap7697 Sure geography isn't our side, but afaik, the closer you are aligned to one powerful entity, the more they will invest in you and back you up, that doesn't necessarily mean exclusive friendship to the west, Armenia can be very tight with the west and still be close to other countries.
@@lehmejoun It’s a myth. The best way forward is maximum diversity, not reliance on one power or another. We relied on Russia. Where did that get us? If we rely on the US, we’ll become the next proxy at best. Georgia and Ukraine should teach us a lesson. My issue is more with this “the West will be our savior if only we align or integrate with it.” We need to stop living in lalaland. Geopolitics is a harsh reality.

What is your opinion about Pashinyan's visit to Erdogan's celebration in Ankara?
If he thinks it's going to win him any brownie points, or any friendship from the Sultan of Ankara, he is even more naïve than I thought.
I have a question, are you going to sign the #Hayaqve ?? 😆

Aligning with the west doesn't mean economical exclusivity to the west, they're totally different things.
