FILM DESCRIPTION:
When Tim Lake (Domhnall Gleeson) is 21, his father (Bill Nighy) tells him a secret: The men in their family can travel through time. Although he can't change history, Tim resolves to improve his life by getting a girlfriend. He meets Mary (Rachel McAdams), falls in love and finally wins her heart via time-travel and a little cunning. However, as his unusual life progresses, Tim finds that his special ability can't shield him and those he loves from the problems of ordinary life.

when i was in university, i went to a house party and made my way to the basement to try to find a washroom. As i found it, it was locked since someone was inside but I heard mumbles coming from a separate room so as i followed the sound and there was a girl laying on the couch with a glass of wine watching this movie all by herself. i was relatively drunk, so i just said "I'm gonna join you" and sat on the couch across from her and watched hoping that the person would come out of the bathroom soon. it was about 5 minutes before they came out, and this wedding scene came on. we were both talking about how amazing this song is and how this was a beautiful wedding with the views, the music, and the whole vibe.
7 years later, we got married in st michael penkivel church, which is where this was shot, and had a reception nearby. And we have one daughter. this song is what we usually play in the background when we are sitting on the couch, talking, holding our baby, and just having the best time together. one of my favourite movies ever

this movie brings me comfort every time I watch it. The whole scene where everyone struggles to get out of the rain & the song over the chatoic energy brings me happiness. I hope my wedding is amazing as this one :,)
I just rewatched this scene after finishing the whole movie and gave me a different feeling. This scene chimes well with the finding happiness message of the movie. In absurd situation like a stormy weather, you can still focus on the beautiful things (wedding of a happy couple)

I watched this movie for the first time a few months ago at a late night before school thanks to my big sister, i just got the courage to look up what the movie was called because i never asked, and my god did i cry so much during the movie, im super emotional and this movie was just so heart warming. They’re my inspiration for when I fall into love and how I want my life with my partner to be. Everything about this movie is amazing to me, specially the music.
This is one of the best movie in the last 20 years. Its a shame that very few people have seen it
