Today jury selection began in a grim block in Manhattan in the first of four trials facing the former president.
He denies the charges and calls the case political persecution.
But what does the American public make of it all - could a convicted criminal really be elected to the White House in November?

In preparation for watching the trial, I am currently heavily researching Stormy Daniels.
A historic moment for this nation. In Trump's words, "There's never been anything like this in the history of our country."
That was in 2016, when Trump was elected, despite being unfit in every respect.
And again on the 6th of January 2021

"Sadly" - All the indictments are a sham and manipulation of the law. Whether one loves or hates Trump these are multiple abuses of process with White House meetings before Trump's indictments (see Fani Willis and Nathan Wade case).

This is so stupid. Offering hush money to cover up an affair is not illegal, distasteful yes, but not illegal. The only one who should be concerned about this is his wife. None of this is anyone's business and only serves create more drama. People need to stop thinking other people's private lives are their business. Not to mention this does more damage to his wife's mental health than it does damage to Trump. His supporters aren't going to abandon him because of his perfectly legal private life.
