it's a visual thing because of a combination of twitch to youtube to your screen compression combined with the heat/smoke kicking up behind it while he's shooting

The nade wasn't a giveaway. Throwing a nade in those bushes is sensble. You could hear one circle around behind Stank, and that's the part that's sus. Right behind Stank is the fence you can only get over if you're on the side that Stank is on

This is what I've been saying for weeks and weeks and weeks. If the devs thought ratting was genuinely cheating, they would have combed through every area of the map and added object collision to every single spot you can hide in the game, keeping you from actually being able to hide there.
Hiding and outsmarting bad players is not cheating. Cheating is cheating.
I mean, there's always flushing out common spots or using thermals on bush maps like customs. Don't think it was really intended but at the end of the day, the point is to survive and thrive.
@@zhanghia Yeah if anything, rats make people play more carefully (and creatively), because as you said the point of the game is to survive and thrive. That means adapting to all kinds of situations, including ones where you're being camped near extract by a dude in a bush. If it was any other game I'd be bothered by it, but it just feels like it's so on-theme for this game considering how brutally difficult it is if you're just trudging loudly through maps with zero situational awareness.
It wasn't intended but it fits perfectly, sort of like wave-dashing was a happy accident for Smash.
