So Hyang is a Classical Korean Singer who does this amazing cover of Lean on me. So Hyang is an amazing singer who can hit the high notes and has the most amazing tonal range in her voice linke no other!

Immortal Song is a weekly singing competition of popular singers in Korea. There is always a theme each week. That episode is Michael Bolton songs. He was invited to the competition as a guest of honour. There are many other singers that performed his songs that day and it was a treat. Sohyang won with Lean On Me. By the way, all of them rearranged his songs.
Most of SoHyang's cover songs are mind blowing except Power of Love, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and My Heart will go on. She followed the songs faithfully hence she didn't display her powerful voice. However those songs, her voice were soothing and beautiful.
She does pop, rap, ballad, jazz, blue, rock, gospel and others. All fantastic and mind blowing. I won't recommend as I am sure you will get many.
PS: I just watched Alita Battle Angel twice in three days. If you have watched, can you do a review. I am planning to watch another two times. Fyi, I have never watch the same movie in theatre twice in my life.
this show was a singing competition that host Micheal Bolten when he came there during a concert tour. The Contestant consisted of several popular Korean singers all singing his songs that night. The rest of the performers were imo dual, 5/10 performances at best. Until So Hyang closed the show out and brought the entire audience to the edge of there seats and got a standing ovation for this song. Micheal Bolton was so blown away he asked her to sing with him on his tour. So Hyang also won the competition is that was not obvious.
Welcome to the 'gobstopping' world of So Hyang. I suggest these as your nxt SH performances to watch: Bridge Over Troubled Water(this was my introduction to her), I Have Nothing(for all those that thought nobody else was worthy enough of been mentioned in the same breath as the late great Whitney Houston), You Raise Me Up(the doctor told her not to sing this as she was still not recovered from pneumonia), Arirang Alone(a korean folk song which has become an unofficial anthem). There are so many more outstanding performances to choose from but these should help you get to know her a little better. We came close to never hearing her sing at all as she had cervical cancer in her early 20's,which left her unable to have children. Happy viewing

She pronounces her name.. So HYUNG. Like YUNG, with the H and Y together. Said like So Hyung. I guess its best to link a video. Its of her singing the U.S. national anthem at an NBA game, and the beginning, you hear the announcer introduce her, using the correct pronunciation. Don't worry, if you want to react to the video, you still can because the singing does not start for about a minute or so due to them not getting the music started in time. So many reactors go into a new song knowing and expecting her extreme high belting and power, yet they are still blown away with each new songs. She always have something up her sleeves. That is why each new songs of hers get reactors excited. I know you will too.

So glad you made your acquaintance again with Sohyang :-) Her rendition of Lean On Me is what launched her into the consciousness of the international audience online - no doubt the presence of Michael Bolton was helpful but he was not there to promote her. The show called Immortal Song 2 is a singer competition program in South Korea that hosted a Michael Bolton Special where all participants performed songs he did. Michael was so impressed and invited her to join him on his concert later. This performance gave a glimpse of Sohyang's vocal prowess and her stage magic. but believe it or not. This one is far from being considered among her best stages still, and there are quite a few of them out there.
