Yeah, my first reaction to this video was pretty much the same as yours... but for me it was the first time I've heard the song at all. I just started crying uncontrollably after "it fills my heart up and it breaks me at the very same time"... There is something profoundly sad and beautiful in being confronted with this contrast between the world of the "mind" that we create and build through life and the world of intuition and emotion, that just crushes me every time I listen to this song. And the song itself is just a masterpiece, it literally makes you feel what she's talking about. In all honesty, I don't think there has been a song, painting, novel or any other type of art or media that immediately made me reflect on the way I see the world, people and relationships as much as this one... Aurora is really something else...
Julia you are a wholesome soul. Don’t believe bad things about yourself please.

This is my favorite.
I liked the song so so much and cried by it. I don't really regret it. It express the deep thoughts so directly, very strong if you're listening alone, by only yourself, thinking about it...
How nice you found a favourite song! My favourite of hers, and one of my favourite songs in general, is "A different kind of human" & "Mothership" (in my mind they're the same song). I love how she uses her voice as an instrument in that song, it is very non-intrusive I feel like.
And somewhat similar to that, "The Conflict of the Mind" - that you like so much - have a feel to it that is ethereal and free, I think. It stands above the lie that things are impossible. Great song.

Hello dear! It´s one of her best. Perhaps top five but it is a masterpiece. Everything is perfect and whats standing out is her playfulness with her voice especially in the end . That one is the best.

Sometimes in life words are not needed to express how we feel,we can just embrace ourselves in the that moment in time when the emotions of our deepest thoughts take the place of the spoken words as we experience a kind of beautiful spiritual experience, it’s what makes us human and music often is the spark that ignites emotions inside of us that we never thought we had,I have been there many times listening to Aurora over the last 7 years and trust me as an 67 year old man my tears have flowed like a river, so my warrior enjoy what is perfectly normal for as Aurora would say “let love conquer your mind “ ❤️

I am also an aurora lover. its so weird at how profound a time in my life this song came out. the video absolutely killed me because the table reminded me of my grandparents house and they are both passed so when i saw the clothes i was balling. yes we few feel deep and everyone walks by. but im here and i see you julia. such a gentle soul dont let ppl bring you down with their qualms of a bad day you may have once had or some such thing. you are a magical being and you give my so much important reactions when aurora releases her videos. thank you for existing.

I obviously don't know how the she feels about these comments you've left here but I must say they are super inappropriate.
A stranger (or even if you know each other this point will still stand) writing about being obsessed about a woman is not comforting, it's the opposite it's threatening really.
I would talk to some sort of mental health professional about these comments your leaving and see where it goes from there.
Seriously, I would assume comments like these are from a stalker (and if this horrifies you, I'm sorry but it's important, I think, for you to see this perspective).

I watched the premiere of this, but didn't leave a comment at the time. I am glad you found a favourite out of all of Aurora's incredible songwriting - it is a beautiful song, and once again she has done something different to what she did before. Yesterday, I finally received a copy of Aurora's book and I cannot wait to get into it - it is so pretty to look at! (After a certain shopping website managed to lose the first copy they sent me. Supposedly it was delivered, but no book appeared...)

this is one of Aurora's best songs, which also applies to Your blood. I don't know the top ten yet because all of my top ten are Aurora songs when I look at my top 100 best songs ever because at 10 You keep me crawling and at 9 Your blood, so I currently put it at 11 and maybe switch with Your blood. but it is a fact that the vocals in this song are ridiculously strong, more impressive than in Your blood, with alienated sounds through effects and a melacholic blanket, but is slightly less layered than Your blood. Actually, I can also summarize this song as THE soundtrack of THE dream movie
