I agree. I honestly prefer gatekeeper and GK Pro skins matches over Jomez commentary. I like Uli but I'm over his and Kolings puns and trying to be comedians for 90 mins. I like Nate and Brian's actual insight and knowledge they bring to viewers

I wouldn't do away with it completely, but it should be short & not step on what's happening with the players. Priority #1: Call the action. Priority #2: Inform the viewers Priority #3: Make viewers laugh, unless it interferes with priority #1 or #2.

Worlds needs to be at the end of the year. It makes these tournaments more meaningful. Pro Tour points are great but there is nothing more important than worlds. It should be USDGC, then Pro Tour Final, then Worlds.

Calvin is one of my favorite throwers for form straight beams and that’s exactly what I’m going for just something about it makes it seem more consistent and Kyle Klein is surely picking up some attention with form
Paul's putting and general decision making has been so off. What made Paul so good was his shot selection off the tee - but lately he has been second guessing and picking average to bad shots giving him difficult putts that he can't convert. Having said all that, this is a tough course but Paul's been relentless the last several years so he's created this high standard and when plays average it really shows

Brian Earhart. Just constructive comments here. When someone is on the card that Brian likes he doesn't stop talking about them. So much so that he forgets to comment on other players. It takes over his whole narrative. It isn't a mystery when he likes a player. This card it's Ben and last time it was his brother. They mentioned they didn't see anyone birdie hole 7. They did, Paul Uli, but they were talking over his play so much. It's kind of cringe to hear Brian get so into one player. Just commentate objectively a little.
So glad someone finally says this.. plus on hole 8 he said that the people running across the green when a player was safe is “unsettling”.. anyone who doesn’t like that added touch to the tourney is a negative cry baby.. I don’t know why they still have him on commentary to be honest.. I only watch their coverage if I lie who is on the card lol..
At least there should be a gentlemens agreement to take +1 shot when something like this happens. Hard to tell from that angle, but it would have gone pretty sure into the water.
If the camera aint there we don’t get to see it! Hit the equipment and not him too. But yes they can position him in a different spot next time too keep it more honest. 2x love!

Cameraman hit on ricky's shot on hole 4 was egregious. Unacceptable. Disc golf media gotta do better than that. Totally insane that the cameraman was still following the disc instead of getting out of the way. Unacceptable.
Gatekeeper has become my favorite disc golf coverage. Good, professional, insightful commentary rather than the goofy antics of jomez. I liked their style at first but they just seem so tired now that they're expanding the brand so to speak. When I watch jomez I mostly have it muted nowadays.
@@bepriceless Experienced photographers--especially sports photographers--instinctively know that their camera is not a shield. In sports such as basketball, the corporal penalty to the photographer is a bit more...shall we say strict, with a broken nose coming into play!
I really don't like that the disc hit the camera on hole 4. The camera crews are usually very good at dodging discs. It really sucks when they affect a shot so dramatically. They make light of it, but it sucks.

Agreed! Only thing I hope they improve is the gatekeeper rewind. Often times the slow-mo cuts out the full flight of the putt
