What an absolutely massive boy! Threezero went above and beyond, taking full advantage of the scale and stuffing it chock full with impeccable detail and dry brushing.

This is a work of art. The definitive Optimus, and is the one I’ll pick for my collection (along with the premium Bumblebee you showed).

@@JustinsCollection yup! bumblebee was set up as a prequel to the first bayverse movie at first, but later on they decided not to go that direction and decided bumblebee to be the first movie in a new separate universe.

Thanks to your video I picked up one MISB. I already have the DLX version but having watched the movies, this is my favorite version of Optimus. He is as close to G1 as possible and no offense to the Bayverse version but man the Bumblebee version nailed the G1 look hell of a lot better!

16:47 in the movie you can clearly see that he has blue pieces in his arms, it was weird to me that none of the figures made had those blue pieces (even the dlx), I rewatched the scene where he's on Earth and he doesn't have the blue pieces, I didn't think of the possibility that he only had them in his cybertronian mode. it's a cool detail

I’ve noticed recently that the designer of this Optimus took a lot of ques from Gundam. I don’t mind that either because Gundam has kept the early 80s Japanese Mech aesthetics alive. Showing how classic that era was from an art standpoint

This guy is detailed to the nines- or even tens!
He looks so good and there is so much going on in sculpt and paint. I wish he did have his abdomen armor, but that’s a design choice of the studio and not Threezero’s fault. Awesome figure and terrific review! I just wish there were more close up shots of the details, but I know it’s super hard w such a massive figure!

While you are correct in saying that this figure is not large enough for 1/6th scale, this version optimus prime is not the same height as the bayverse one. Bayverse prime is 28’ in the movie whereas BB prime is only 16’ in the movie. This means that a 1/6th version of this optimus would only have to be 32” tall which is significantly shorter than you or me.

You forgot to say.... "and extremely AWESOME." The similar sized Blitzwing blew me away how good it was, so this one is a must buy for me. Fingers crossed ThreeZero put out more of these Premium scaled figures! (Dinobots!)

Hello. What is the difference between the Optimus Threezero Premium and the 24-inch Yolopark, the price difference, is it justified?

Thanks for the awesome review Justin, this Optimus Prime robot is the BEST looking one in all of Transformers history. That said, I think I'll get the DLX version as I think this looks a bit hard to pose due to his sheer size. Just a pity the DLX version doesn't have articulated fingers!

This primium prime is absolutely impeccable, its been well worth the long wait, i carnt wait to receive mine. Would have been an extra nice touch if the earth mode shoulder piece lights, lit up! My only concern is the earth mode exhaust stacks attachments, how secure are they? Ive seen another review where they are a loose fit, there they dont fix securely!

Furthermore, I recommend the Last Knight Optimus Prime Premium Scale because it has the best detailing of all the premium scales. I actually have both of these and I'm not really sure which one is the better one. The "Last Knight" wins for details, color, and authentic/unique badass design, but this one obviously wins for the material and nostalgia (the bumblebee movie design)

Any videos on the creative and manufacturing process for something like this? Are they hand crafting each model? What are the returns when creating something like this? Seems expensive and almost as if it should cost more. Very meticulous.

I love this figure a lot, but overall I like the DLX better, if that had a Cybertronian mode as well it’d be great. I think the size of the DLX figure is just right. However the Premium one has way better eye colour.

Hey Justin, you should take a look at the Yolopark Prime that's coming up. It also allows you to switch from Earth to Cybertronian mode plus the ability to access the matrix.

This optimus is not for me. But I can't wait for threezero voltron. It can transform/combine. It has lion leg covers like blitzway. It has more articulation than SOC Voltron.
