around 56 minutes into this podcast during Brenton’s description he mentions that in the book “spencer” gave toby, he notices that it isn’t marked up, so that would explain why he uses that as a question to figure out which one is real i think! (referring to one of the things that Emily was upset with at the beginning)
i think maybe spencer had given him the book in a previous season and alex was referring to that when giving it to him this season. but i also don’t remember
