A rider that comes to mind when you talk about unorthodox skills at 12:00 is that Billy bolt character.. he is absolutely one of the most technically skilled riders on the planet.
What most people don't realize is, not all experts/pro's can teach their craft, it takes someone that has broken themselves down, time & time again down to basics, that can see & explain what others need to do to get better. Although I was an expert mogul skier in my early teens and did some mid-west mogul tours, I didn't know how to break down someone's faults and teach them correctly. It wasn't until I was hired as a Ski Instructor and had to go through nightly Clinics where I was humbled real quick when shown my own flaws. Them breaking me down to basic "Pizza"/"French Fries" and so on then moving on from there, is where I started to learn how to teach. My skiing improved dramatically over the years & here I thought I ski'd perfectly before. My hats off to AJ, Jett, Hunter & all the others doing these academies for people of all ages.
Been a bit since you went this far in depth on camera with the riders. I grew up in the Binghamton, NY area so I am stoked to see Kristen being featured!!! Keep up the hard work Kristen!!!
You can see at 9:43 her elbows aren't up. I used to have a huge problem with this and only through yelling and punishments (which I DON'T agree with) did it get better. Any tips on how to enforce that proper elbow position in a way that doesn't feel condescending?
When you use the front brake, it compresses the suspension further into the ground, which pushes the front wheel into the rut and makes it easier to turn
Fantastic video. Are you coming to Detroit for Super x? I'm Flag crew, like to talk to you about a class in MI for our Vintage Motocross Group of guys, gals and kids.
@@bunnyman6321 unfortunately not. I tried my best to still race during college but the gravy train stopped around then. 😁 Now I live vicariously through videos like this.
you wanna be even better at motocross race bmx as well .... i raced my whole life and jumping on a dirtbike felt so natural , like i was prepared only this time i didnt have to pedal lol
This by far was the coolest and most fun I've had at an AJ class- can't wait till the next one! -Kristen

Get extra wide handle bars
O chit, Cam has done found his bride and 1st student. 😍🥳❤😇
I'm confused.
How do you drop both heels while braking?
the quality of this video is insane! props Cam!
Great edit on the intro 👍
AJ showing off the new -do recently. Looking good. 🙂
😬😁😁
Can you explain the front brake in the corner or run for my son maybe in a video what it does and how it applies and helps with
Great job Kristen. Definitely getting better. I’ve seen ya few times at the track. Bc I’m also from upstate ny.
Definitely a good class training session..👍😁🔥
What great class. That looked so much fun.
Love that hair bro!!
What’s up AJ! I have a question. I’m wanting to put my kiddo in your class FEB 3rd . He rides a 50cc. Do you train them that small ?
Damn the editing has really been great.
So when do you apply the head above bars cause in the first part you said to straight your body up
When you stand your head needs to be far forward. When you sit your upper body should be more straight up & down 👍🏼
@@AjCatanzaro and only will I put my head forward in sitting when accelerating, correct??
I haven't seen here at any track in ny hm?
Are you guys coming back to Utah this summer?
wheres yall school
one thing I've never been able to comprehend is how the front brake helps keep the bike leaned over in a rut?
Well if acceleration stands the bike up, slowing down will lean it over, also - brings the weight to the front so itll turn more
When you use the front brake, it compresses the suspension further into the ground, which pushes the front wheel into the rut and makes it easier to turn
You also don’t really just pull it, you basically drag it lightly.
I think this girl rides at my local track
@@benholmquist1148 Simple as that 💯
Great video!
Damn, Kristen nailed that wheelie drill!
Cam has ❤❤❤😅

I’ll be there!
I always think about ot like a BMX bike with an engine. Just imagine your playing one of those "hill climb" mobile games 😂
I remember my first moto class in the early 2000’s. I think it was with Chad Johnson
You still ride?

They didn’t know it was Halloween. That’s just them.
The average joes costumes may have been my favorite 😬😁

Riding bmx, especially in your younger years, is super important to develop bike skill!
@@AjCatanzaro are you going to be at paradise on Saturday too?
The girls love them some Jett.....
That camera man sounds a lot like Ryan Stiles Harris
You know it!
You about to lose 18% on every course for the year
