I’m getting all the elements together to put my horns on my truck. I’m nervous, I worry about someone coming along and helping me store them someplace else. Life is to short to let fear control your happiness. Thank you again for your hard work teaching us.
Fun fact, the loudest bicycle horn was a achieved by River Lucas and Eli Payne. on a bicycle they dubbed "The Er Express" by using a Nathan K5LA they managed to get 151.4 dB out of it.
It’s sounds great and strong! I like the K3HA’s. The high mount manifold is cool. Also the Doppler sounded beautiful! Keep up the amazing work my man!!
Also, question 1: was this horn ever in service? Question 2: was there bonnets on the bells? In the pictures, I can see a bonnet shaped mark on the #1 bell.
Hey how can I contact you? Id like someone to inpart some knowledge. I really like the deeper tones but I also like the more harmonious cords. So I like the depth of the k3hl but the cords of the k3la. How do they sound in person? Does one harmonize better than the other? Is the hl harder to find? Where can i find one? What size airline is the best? Do the k5lla and the k3hl sound similar(ish) in person (other than the extra horns) ? Are the k5s significantly louder than the k3s or not that much?
I'll add that I've watched your videos on these horns and they are very helpful and informative, but I need an expert opinion. I'm looking for a more reasonable priced horn to put on my kenworth that's not the regular k5la like everyone else runs. I've always found the tone not quite so beautiful and a little to aggressive

The most common is 2 bell reversed but can be also be on a low manifold as a K3LA
Always love the Doppler effect.

No this one was brand new in the box. I did notice the wear lines around the #1. Not sure how it got them. This horn is only about 6months old
@@TheHornKing ok. Nice video by the way!

I tend to hear a lot of K3HA horns in the Sacramento, CA area. Are they standard on Union Pacific or BNSF locomotives?
Most likely Union Pacific.
But I think there are a few bnsf dash 9s that have this horn.
That horn sounds like BNSF 4724 kinda.
I'll be mad if they don't put that on at least one NS loco
