Yes live snow will be there. Do check weather before going, with any local hotel personnel.

If you’re not interested in snow than September-October will be good. Just after rainy season , area will be lush green with vegetation. Go for it

Brother can you say how many days will it take to do trek to Jalori ,Raghupur fort,lake and back to jibhi..Is there any guide that we need to take.
From Jibhi , 1 day each for fort & lake and no need of guide unless, heavy snow on trek. In snow , way isn’t clear enough so good to bring any local with you.

1- Tirthan, Jalori will be less crowded, more offbeat. Go here if you’re looking for peace along with exploration.
2- kasol, Tosh, kheerganga, more cafe and more young crowd.
I would suggest now go to tirthan and in Mar-apr tosh.

End of December which places can we visit as you have told jalori pass will be closed on that time. We have planned to go there for 2days. Kasol or Tirthan valley which one is best to visit in the end of December. Actually we want to explore white beauty. From Tirthan valley we will go to Manali. Plz suggest how many days we need to explore Shimla- Tirthan valley via Narkanda- on the way ti Manali manikaran , Kasol- Manali- Kalka/Chandigarh
Pass closure depends on amount of snowfall. In some years end of December had less snow. So Do check weather reports in Nov to first week of December before leaving.
Tirthan valley is anytime better than kasol for family travel
For shimla 1 full day is enough.
Tirthan -2 full days
Manikaran-kasol -2 full days
Manali town only- 1 day is enough
Manali Nearby areas like Solang, Sethan, -2 days

Dear Nikita, Weather will be pleasant, good for day hikes, Camping . Valley Temperature b/w 6-10 ‘C in night and 15-20’ C in daytime . You might get lucky to see old snow on Jalori pass. For live updates before leaving do checkout for rain predictions.

Jan end difficult if snowfall is good amount but local guide can take you
I'm planning to visit here from 26-31 December 2021 will it be right time ? Or we could get stuck in the snow and could not get back timely ?
Hi Yogeshwar, You can roam around easily in the lower part of the valley but difficult to access pass on these dates. By the way this depends on daily weather also, so do check it out before leaving.

for 3 days I would be staying in mashobar.
I wanted to visit Manali but I also want to stay in Jibhi. Is jibhi good option to stay in february or should I go to Manali instead?
Jibhi will be better , if road are cleared and u able to reach it. As Manali will be crowded in upcoming days due to holidays. Go to Jibhi, if you want to experience nature in solitude.
But do check road conditions with locals before going.

Hi Sahil, Thats great. if you planning to explore Jalori pass, Serolsar lake and Raghupur fort too then wait till last week of feb, as these Trekks will inaccessible due to thick snow. Rest of valley you can do in first week. Stay in Jibhi to cover most locations in less time.

Visited in February. Snowfall starts in November and lasts till Mid March near Jalori Pass.

There are many stay options in Shoja, which is 5 km from Jalori pass.
Or you can stay in Jibhi which is 12 km from jalori.
For summer, book camping there

Jalory pass kon sa route hai shimla.wala ya jo apne dikhaya wo wala
Coz we r planing in December which routes is better
Dono Jate hain and both are good. Shimla wala long route hai and will take extra time. So choose as per your itinerary
Hotels are so expensive on mmt and goibibo...you said 400..thry are charging 1k per night...also I am planning to go in March starting..will there be snow?
Dear, that’s why I mentioned against advance booking. Go there and look for home stays and camping, it will be fall under 350-400/person.
if you want hotel room ,750-800/2 persons again under 400/person. *But remember these prices subject to season and availability.
After mid-March, chances of live snow are thin but you’ll see snow around Jalori pass for sure.
Do Check weather updates before going.

Hi Asish, Valley mei nahi hota , Pass par Mid March tak rehta hai aur ye mausam pe bhi depend krega. Please check before going.

हम गए थे 27 फ़रवरी-मार्च के पहले सप्ताह में। हर वर्ष इतनी बर्फ़ पड़ेगी यें कहना मुश्किल है, और पास कब खुलेगा ये इसी पर निर्भर करता है,कि सीज़न में बर्फ़बारी कितनी हुई है। पर हाँ औसतन १५ मार्च के बाद से पास खुलने लगता है, तो तब जाना सही रहेगा।

Sir Shimla se local bus jati hai Jalori pass and Jibhi Tak?
Yes it goes via Narkanda. Go to Shimla bus stand and search for Banjar bus. If you did not find the Banjar Bus, look for a Bus to Anni (small town just before Jalori). From Anni, you can take shared cab and cross Jalori Pass.
But remember It will not operate in heavy snow months like Dec to mid mar , as pass will be closed

Kasol se ja sakte hai tirthan valley?
To reach Tirthan from Kasol, take any bus from Kasol going towards Mandi. Deboard at Aut (just after the tunnel). Or you can come to bhuntar from kasol and take mandi bus from there
Then take local bus to Gushaini/Nagini or if not available take bus upto Banjar. From Banjar, you can get some more to reach Gushaini etc which is basically party of Tirthan valley.
And by personal vehicle, follow same route

Travel to pass will be Very difficult, but you can do lower areas. Check for weather forecast and road conditions with locals before planning

50 km Approx and it will take 1.5-2 hrs max, depends how you drive 😀
