Maybe your oldest fan-widow, 79, saying a huge thank you for bringing back happy memories of mountains enjoyed and many new ones to experience through your adventures. You have kept me happy throughout the pandemic as these have been my evening treat ( together with a wee dram!) As you would say “ stay safe out there” and thanks again. Anne.
Nicely put Anne! Murray's adventures have been a breath of fresh air for all, when so many have been unable to access or discover their own mountains for so long. We don't all do technical climbs like he & Gerry, but the rewards & memories from hiking the uplands are unforgettable. Best, Sebastian
Murray, When you are again in Torridon take an excursion to Applecross and climb the Cioch Nose. 200m of exposure and just a V Diff. Absolutely fantastic.
Oh great stuff Murray. l was just looking for Scotlands only "via faretta" and this video was in the same section section. l think its one l missed, but what a climb !! Thank you both for a great wee video......Alioban
Great stuff Murray, what fantastic views from there. I so enjoy watching you and Gerry. Well done you make it look easy even after a long lay off. My all time place to be as a regular visitor. Many thanks for another great video. Take care Ali Oban
That looked like a brilliant climb! One I'm not quite ready for yet... I have been in that wee howff on a very wet day while attempting the zigzags. Beautiful area.
Wonderful stuff again Murray. I'm currently off mountains while I struggle with an undiagnosed condition. Had an MRI this morning that we hope will shed light on it, then I hope to be back up the big stuff. Glencoe last August was my last time on the hill, missing it like crazy!
Oh Murray, thank you. Tears of joy here watching this during my lunch-break! Evoked memories of my simple hikes up that glen. Professional presentation; utterly stimulating & absorbing throughout. Stunning.👌
This was by far my favorite adventure yet, San Diego thanks you ( an hour’s drive from here)! Thank you 🙏 for taking us along on another incredible journey!
Thank you, what a wonderful video. I can well imagine you had more important things to worry about than switching on a camera. I don't know how you did it but you just seem to be able to take us along.
Hi Murray, every time you visit Glencoe it adds extra interest for me. I own a property on the far south coast New South Wales, Australia. It was first farmed by Gordon Simpson, a Scotsman from Glencoe in the 1860’s and named it the same. Like the Glencoe in Scotland it’s a special place.
"A Fantastic fantastic place t'be"..... to say the least omg ye both make it look so easy faffin about with cameras and belays and ropes. I was seriously impressed with the la sportivs bannana boots lol.. these are indeed the highlights of the Murray Gerry saga i think :) cheers great vlog
That was amazing sir! I'm so glad I found your channel although it was probably inevitable! That climb looked rather possible but I don't think I'd ever muster the mental strength for it
Great film. Looks a wonderful climb. Drove past on Way to Skye a week ago and promised myself to get back in that area soon. Been 20 years since I went up through the hidden Valley
Thanks John - Skye is wonderful and a wee stop off in Glencoe not too bad either :) hope you get back to Glen Coe soon Take care and thanks for watching ATB Murray
A favourite area in central glencoe...actually qualifies as a "roadside crag" in glen coe. In its day, this was a "masters wall", all routes were steep without a lot of natural proection. The exposure is obvious in the extreme. Nowadays, it suits modern protection and is a grand place to get into trad climbing. A great wee visit.nice one!
Fantastic! I would love to do some of those classic routes In Glen Coe, I'm happy scrambling most of the classic scramble routes but not really taken the next step up to climbing. Need to put that right!
What a great video...what a climb...''feeling exposed''...I like walking the hills but I would never take off up the side of one...you two are either brave or madmen...atb until the next time
Evening Murray, evening Gerry. What an absolutely stunning video. I take my hat off to you both, it takes some balls to do proper rock climbing! The look on those deers faces was brilliant! 🤣🤣
@@AlpinistGGerry Yes we’ve been very fortunate with the weather down here that the last few outing have been lovely. Me and my Dad are really looking forward to getting up to the highlands for a week this August!
Brings back memories! Did first two pitches of Bowstring then along terrace and finished up Quiver Rib back in June 2006! Great exposure but a fun climb! I was a youthful 45 year old then!
Oh my..I haven’t seen you climb in a while. That was intense. I can see how you have to find the right spot to go down. Beautiful scenery. Always a great watch Take care 🇨🇦 ❤️
Cheers Kevin - must admit , it’s been a while since I had the gear on and my toes were protesting !! Was glad to get the boots back on after the climb !! Lol
That looked like an amazing day out, probably something I will never try 😂 think the fear of heights would get the better of me.. still a great watch though!
I don't mind some exposure, but not that much. Fair play to the pair of you after such a long lay off. Great interesting video. Thanks for sharing Murray ATB
Coming back down coire nan lochan on the 30th of April we saw two climbers on that very wall, checked my pictures from the day and there wearing different colours. So it was other nutters.
Another fantastic video even if i watched it from behind the settee the only way i will ever go on a climb like that is through the lens of your camera ! thanks a million scary but enjoyable
I enjoyed the video until you started rock climbing. Forgot to switch the camera on? Let’s hope you don’t forget to tie your safety rope. Lol you can tell I don’t know what I’m talking about right there 😁😁 Excellent video as always. The views from your stop-off point were amazing. Top drawer, catch you later xx
Great video...can't watch half of it because I don't like heights and that camera makes it even more nuts. Do appreciate the lengths it takes to make this type of video so thumbs up from me.
Enjoyed your video to old and scared to do even a moderate these days but boy what a classic route. Anyway have to say the flying teeth are still feeding off mountaineers (14:10) yellow boots might not be the best choice 😀
Murray.. I'm heading to SCOTLAND on Thursday lol and want to visit that small cave place opposite the bow..can u give me a kinda quick comment on where I start and how to get there ie park n walk. I know it's in Glencoe below a sister :) anything wud be appreciated my friend. A huge fan of yourself n Gerry obviously lol
Just found the hidy hole and got to the bottom of the bow...Amazing. We went on to stob Coire Nan Lochan, Aonach Dubh and Gearr Anoch..another great adventure on the mountain.thks Murray n Gerry...M ps too bad weather for CMD Arete :( so far !
I would say most definitely- yes . Curved Ridge is a fantastic scramble and been up it loads (even with camping gear). I personally wouldn’t be able to solo Quiver rib and wouldn’t do it without rope protection , rock shoes helmet etc etc - QR is a graded climb as opposed to scramble IMO . Hope that helps M
Aye, I'm definitely more a rambler than a scrambler, guid video though chaps, the 360° cam comes into its own for the hands on stuff. A GoPro on the helmet would make you dizzy as I found vlogging the Aggie Ridge. 😵

@@tommybinson it is fab!! I did it over 40 years ago and can still remember the climb. Solid and exhilarating.
Thanks for posting. Got wonderful memories of sitting in the hideyhole waiting for rain to stop. Then did Archer Ridge. Enjoyed so much.
Memories...thanks guys. We had a wee soloing day there loong time ago...absolutely great wee crag.
Well worth a visit...well done gents.
Great! I’ve been looking for detailed info on Quiver Rib for a while, thinking of soloing it and summit camping! Cheers for the video!
Great video, really interesting! More climbing please!

Ah yes - it’s moving into prime midge season - the wee buggers are awaiting the summer influx for their feeding frenzy 🤣
12:09 is lovely - we have to make do with feral goats in Wales ;-)
It’s always nice to see the local wildlife (as long as they don’t have wings and teeth that bite 😂)

Lovely. Is much difficult than the curved ridge which I have done . I think I need to do this , i have done 100 munros .
So there is life for the V Diff . climber ...(retired V Diff man!)
You both made that look easy (scary as hell) but climbed by professionals, get the stuff, stuff the guff and climb until you are high. WOW
