But I assume that tide then turned, when Rick and Amber kept lying to them (and Amber soon later ended up pregnant even when they had assured Rick's parents that they didn't have sex) and Brooke then fired Amber because Amber wasn't doing her job to keep the kids safe and out of trouble. At the time of the crash Brooke had had suspected that Amber had been at fault and had been there with Rick (Amber had not been there to pick up Bridget, who got home on her own). Brooke isn't the kind of future mother-in-law, who forgives the hired help for stealing a diamond bracelet or wearing Brooke's expensive clothes without permission while secretly dating and bedding Brooke's son. Ironically, if it had been Stephanie in Brooke's shoes (Amber hired to drive a minor Ridge around town), I am sure Stephanie wouldn't have ever gotten close to Amber either. I would have liked to see a Ridge-Amber flirtation when both later had been single, because I can't imagine Stephanie ever supporting that. When Amber got to play the part of the villain in 2010/2011, Stephanie never got to interact with Amber ever, or did she? They once had been so close but was there a hint to that in 2010?
