He fully recognizes that no amount of "studying" the taste of honey could inform him about the taste of honey. But if Brian wondered if honey was a component of an ancient ritual, he might indeed spend decades studying the evidence.
I totally agree MrbBuy. Brian is fearful, as he should be. These are not party drugs but spiritual medicines. They need to be approached with great respect, so I understand Brian's reticence... but you have to have faith and surrender. If he does, he may find what he's looking for. He needs to understand that it's not the psychedelic from which these insights and appreciation of beauty and this world comes from, but from God - the drug simply makes thin the separation.
