- On The Scene: Senate President Francis Escudero says a majority of Senators are wary about voting on Senate Resolution of Both Houses #6 or the proposed economic charter change as it may pave the way for a Supreme Court ruling that could dilute the Senate's say on charter amendments.

I am a practicing Professional Mechanical Engineer in the energy/power industry, and I completely agree with SP Chiz observation on the energy supply practice in the Philippines.

Don't waste time on hearings
Bravo! Chiz understands the issue with what the country needed the most. Energy. Renewable energy is anything but cheap. For a third-world country, like the Philippines, it is dumb to focus in Renewable energy, while many developed countries (who previously abused coal/gas/oil to develop their own countries) now wants countries such as the Philippines - who needed to use coal/gas/oil to develop, to stop. It's clearly biased, and selfish.
Sen. CHIZ i agree with you as far school year is concern. Mahina yung dep ed secretary.Kulang sa planning, foresight and wisdom.
Sir, kindly look at the pension of retired gov't employees.
With your thoughts/ideas, you maybe the senate leader who can provide gov't retirees what we need. Thank you.

Sana kasama sa mga suportado mo eh ang AFP at PCG modernization, SRDP Bill, at pag BAN sa POGO (knowing na before kinwestyon mo parin kahit dapat na rin i-ban dahil magastos lang at walang benefit sa bansa). He is just saying, few bills will be passed like 1 bill per 3 months, haha. Senate is really the cause of slow growth in this country. They are more political interest than going objectively for Filipino interest.

True character of a person is very different from a person's reputation. Politicians will only show you their suppose to be good side and not their real character. The only way to see their real selves is to witness yourself their personal and unselfish help they give to others who absolutely can do nothing for him in return. In this instace escudero is showing his true color. He is not for the best interest of the people but only on what gain and benefits he could get.

That is not the will of the people. The house and senate are supposed to represent the will of the people who elected them. They are not there to represent personal interest. We need representation by the people not by career politicians with self serving interest. Term limits for house and senate representatives. This will end the dynasties and give the power back to the people. There is a good reason the president has term limits, and it should be for the same good reasons it is implemented in the house and senate.

I personally have agreed to most of Chiz points in this interview. In fact I even have voted for him during the elections. Just as you have mentioned, it is the will of the people, and as an educated voter, have voted for him because of his reasonable views. Feel free to mention what points you want to criticize so we (who voted for him) become educated.
@@papicoco5069 His stance on the divorce bill. I think most people want the bill to pass. I see many people who are married but not living together or with someone other than their spouse. Many mothers left alone to support their children on their own because there is no divorce so no way to force the father to pay child support. It is the children who hurt. I myself am very stable in my marriage. My wife and son will be well taken care should anything happen to me. I think the women deserve the bill to pass i see it as bill for men. This way the men do not have to support their families when they family is broken. I am not saying Chiz is a bad person. I'm saying it's time people be held accountable for the life choices and with the number of broken family units it's time to leap into the modern world. Just because 99% of the people can't afford a legal separation does not mean the family is still together. All it changes is holding people accountable for their children and allowing both parties to move on with their lives without fear of being sent to prison. As the law stands it is archaic in my view.

Personal interest must be set aside when representing the people. You do what the people want. Not what you want. Thats self serving. Not serving the interest of the public. WOW! No wonder things are so bad.
