This is such a great show. I am glad to have come across it. This was a great testimony. I liked the part where she talked about people needing to encounter God’s love first . So true. Many converts can fall into being over zealous when trying to “convince “ those around us about Christ bc we just figured it out. But that isn’t how WE ourselves were drawn back to or drawn into the faith.
    Thanks for another good episode

I was wearing miraculous medal for couple of days wen i went to one great priest for a prayer with organized bus, and first time i putted it on i really felt grace while praying, and while listening spiritual songs, it felt like it was more alive or i was more enthusiastic for it..
and it happened 2x times when i putted it on
But now im not wearing it, only thing i have now is cross and scapular (and rosary in a pocket)
    God bless

    If I may opine.
    To the convert:
Don't be afraid to judge, just like Jesus did. A sin is dangerous to the soul and those who engage in sinful behavior are "in danger" of eternal separation from God.
Therefore displaying an excessively critical point of view in order to impact someone's conscience for their eternal good, is absolutely right and necessary.
    May God bless your discernment.

    • @togrowgood
      @togrowgood  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

New Age is a “spiritual” without any religion or real God. It takes lots of forms in todays world, but often they believe things like: God is the universe, manifesting money or specific events, horoscopes, forms of “healing” through spells, certain types of rituals (some actually try to do “healings” on people), crystals/rocks, telling the future, reincarnation or past lives, speaking to the dead - all of these things fall into New Age and go against the teachings of Christ and His Church. So glad you found the show, my friend!! Hope you’ll tune in for some of our livestreams- every Wednesday night at 7pm et!

Jesus warned us about those who 'exchange the Word of God for the traditions of men' - and Catholics are the leading culprits!
For example, Jesus said, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." Notice that, just by asking, you can know Christ, be born again, made into a new creation. Yet, Catholic tradition says that, in order to receive the Holy Spirit, you must be baptized and partake of communion - of course, only and exclusively within the Catholic church - yet with no assurance of salvation!
To put it another way, Paul wrote, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." Yet, the Catholic gospel is, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord, is baptized Catholic, and partakes of Catholic communion might be saved." This is no small matter, as Paul also wrote, "Whoever preaches a different gospel, let him be accursed."
Is your Catholic faith really worth an eternity of suffering? You must be born again! You become born again by asking! "Ask and you shall receive," says the Lord. I urge you not to reserve God's soveriegn wrath upon you by preaching a different gospel! Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

Hi, friend! I am so glad you found the show. Thank you for watching and sharing some of your perspective as it currently stands.
If you look at the Word of God on its own, it seemingly contradicts itself. To use just one example, it was actually Jesus Christ who taught that we need to be baptized by water and spirit in order to enter the kingdom of heaven. (Jn 3:5) So which is it?
The Lord did not merely give us a book of His Word for us to figure out all on our own without His guidance and authority to interpret it --- rather He established a Church, giving the authority to Peter and the Apostles, and promising to stay with His Church until the end of time so that His followers could always know that they weren't going astray.
Without the Lord, through His Church to correctly interpret His Word, we end up fractured and confused -- just look at the over 50,000 denominations of Christianity there are now after the Protestant Reformation. Plus, if you read the earliest Christians, so much of what they said and believed was Catholic. For just one example, they believed in the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist. And they did not have the printing press back then to distribute Bibles to everyone. They passed on what the Lord taught them and told them through Tradition. It's amazing news that the Lord established His Church and that 2,000 years later it is still in tact. I'd say miraculous, even!
I am praying for you on the journey, friend! Hope you will check out some more conversion stories, because they truly are amazing. Each one is so unique and the Holy Spirit does amazing things. He is leading so many home to His Church right now! 🌿

@@togrowgood Hi. Thanks so much for answering my post. I will do my best to answer your concerns. May the Holy Spirit lead us into all truth. Amen?
To Grow Good (TGG): John 3.5 says that we must be born of water and of the Holy Spirit.
Ken Shiloh (KS): Yet, remember the context: Nicodemas asked how a person can be born twice. Christ answered, "of water and of the spirit." That is, the first time, we are born of water (as in a woman's water breaks before having a baby); our second birth is from above, by the Holy Spirit. Conversely, where in the Bible does it ever say that baptism is a 'birth process'?
TGG: "Without the Lord, through His Church to correctly interpret His Word, we end up fractured and confused."
KS: What does Christ say? It is written in Matt 23:8-10, “But you are not to be called ‘Rabbi,’ for you have one Teacher, and you are all brothers. And do not call anyone on earth ‘father,’ for you have one Father, and he is in heaven. Nor are you to be called instructors, for you have one Instructor, the Messiah".
Can you not clearly, clearly see that what you are taught in your Catholic faith is different than what Christ taught? Is it not painfully obvious? Why even have a Bible if you do not believe or follow it? Why do you call Jesus 'Lord,' yet not do what He says?
That is, if you were me, do you think I should follow what you say and trust your teachers or should I trust Christ, with the Holy Spirit as my teacher and guide? As for me, I will obey the Lord! I hope - and pray fervently! - that you will too. Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

      @@kenshiloh Hi again, friend!
To clarify: The Catholic Church does not have its own authority from man, it comes from God. Christ founded His Church and He still leads it to this day. He gave Peter the keys to it (Mt. 16:18) and those have been handed down in an unbroken chain since 33AD, but the authority comes from God. God is in control of all things, and He works through His Church to provide His truth earth side, so that His followers know that they are part of the correct one and not led astray.
On the Baptism note, I recommend that you check out the Catechism of the Catholic Church. It explains everything Catholics believe and where it can be found in Scripture in its full context. Here is a link to the section of the Catechism on Baptism; www.usccb.org/sites/default/files/flipbooks/catechism/314/
🙏I am praying for you on the journey, and so glad you found the channel! Here are some conversion stories you might find interesting, if you ever feel the nudge:

@@togrowgood Hi. Thanks for sending me that link to the Catechism, as some Catholics say that baptism is necessary, yet others have denied that it is. Yet, section 1257 clearly reads, "The Lord Himself affirms that baptism is necessary for salvation." The reference Scripture is from John 3.5, that a person cannot enter heaven unless they are 'born of water and of the Spirit.'
Yet, Paul writes, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10.13)." Which statement is true? Is it true that if you call on the Lord you will be saved or do you need to be baptized to be saved? I can see only two options here: either Paul is wrong, that if a person calls upon the Lord without baptism, they will not be saved. If such is the case, then we cannot trust the Bible.
The other option is that 'born of water' is not about baptism at all. For example, a person must be born again: the first time by water, the second time is by the Spirit. If this interpretation is correct, then it does not contradict Paul's gospel.
Yet, I get the sense that you have placed your full trust in your Catholic teachers. However, I will remind you of the words of Jesus, "Shall the blind lead the blind? I tell you both shall fall into the pit." Moreover, Jesus said NOT to trust other people to lead you, but only trust in the Holy Spirit; He said that we should call no man 'teacher' or 'father,' as we have one teacher, even God.
You cannot say that I did not warn you! If you place your trust in people rather than in God, you are not in obedience to Christ. Yet, you can know Christ - just by asking! Tell me, is baptism required for salvation? If so, then how can you explain the words of Christ, "My Father will give the Holy Spirit to whoever asks of Him." Also, explain Romans 10.13, "Whoever calls upon the Name of the Lord shall be saved." No Catholic can. They either ignore the very words of eternal life (scary!) or they will say that 'calling' is the same as being baptized. I s 'calling upon' and 'baptism' really the same thing? For example, "I thought of an old friend so I thought I would give him a baptism (i.e. call)." No, you either have to cast aside the words of Christ or acknowledge that whoever asks of the Father will receive the Holy Spirit. Do you know the Lord? Jesus Christ is the light of the world.

@@kenshiloh Hi, friend. I would encourage you to read your comment back. You can see that you’re struggling to make sense of Scripture and where it seemingly contradicts itself. This is why the Lord gave us a way for Him to interpret His Word to us. Through His Church! We do not believe in any human as being able to lead us to Heaven, only Christ can do that. Christ works through His Church to make sure His Truth remains in tact for those who seek Him. And he told us the gates of Hades would never overcome it, and that He would be with us until the end of the age. Definitely continue to read the Catechism, it will help to address a number of your points mentioned above. Praying for you on the journey, friend! 🙏 Hope you check out some more conversion stories on this show.
