Asking about Ukraine is perfectly reasonable; it is Nigel's response that has caused the problem as his reply is a Kremlin talking point. I am not sure why he is doing this, as he could just say he will keep supporting Ukraine like all the other parties are doing, and like the UK population want to happen, and no one would care. So the fact you and your partner only have 350K houses and some people have much less, people that are struggling like you (or even more so), naturally tend to gravitate towards the parties that seem to offer very simple solutions to complex problems. Not least because complex problems with no clear solution are hard to understand. 'It's all immigrant's fault' is simple, 1-stop, no difficult thought required, it's all the immigrants. Of course 'it's all the immigrants fault' is the simplest solution of all. Also nasty people (people that hate others literally because of their skin colour) tend to make less money as who on earth wants to employ/use services, and be around people like that? Hence I'm already building a picture, as it's always been this way. So if someone says they are voting reform, it's a pretty easy guess that they've not had massive success at life to date (for example only living in a 350K place, which would be less than a 1 bed studio flat around my way), arn't really shooting for the stars intellectually (again, makes getting money or anything else hard), and want VERY simple solutions presented to them, that suggest it was someone else's fault that they are where they are.
