Cool video, I wanted to add some info that isn't as known as it should be: The Akan peoples are matrilineal. The blood of the family is traced through the mothers, as women are the s3x that creates humans inside themselves. The mother's blood or Mogya is spiritual as it is considered one-in-the-same as her children's blood, it contains a child's statues, the Abusua & a human's Kra. The patrilineal sacraments are important, but no considered as important as a man's matriline. Similiar to the matrilinal cultures of the Nubians, Egyptians, Ambundu, & Bijago. For many Akan the indigenous GOD is a trinity: Onyame (female, mother), Onyankopon (male, her son), & Odomankoma (the architect)-three beings in one. Similiar to the royal system, Asantehemaa (Queen Mother) & the Asantehene (King) in representation. European-Christain Colonizers & "missionaries" had misogynist biases that they often inserted into their English (& other European language) written records of African religions & often as a way to limit African women's rights/power in thier own cultures. The female aspect of GOD is often erased or barried to obscurity, because of colonialism on the black mind. I say this becasue, there is no such thing as "Sky Father" in native African religions, sky-father is a pre-Christian European term with allot of patriarchal connotations & European nuance that doesn't match African thought, erasing the female-aspect of creation. Example: If this is the "Sky Father" who is the Sky Mother? "Nyame" is shorthand in records, that sometimes refers to Oyname or her son Onyankopon directly. Asase-Yaa/Asase Afua is second only to GOD, she is above all Abosom (in some myths she helped create humanity), she is a judge of human's in the afterlife known as Asamando. Some researches think the goddess-Nygame might be linked to Onyame, as they have so many of the same attributes. From GOD comes the Kra (human spirit/soul), sometimes from Onyame or Ngame, other times from her son Onyankopon initiated by her. In all versions of the metaphysics, Onyankopon inherited his mother's Kra in-the-first-place. Traditionally, Akan women had land-rights (it was largley their responsibility to earn land/wealth for their children along with the maternal-uncle. Though the father was involved), women had the right to earn their own wealth/land, had monopolies over the marketplaces as female-merchants, were priestesses, Queen Mothers, & (rarely) sole-rulers in odd situations etc. Peace.
Very funny I swear..this is just a story to open your mind up to the Dipper truth... The whole story is far more accurate than this and it is very complicated so for easier understand this kind of fictional stories were created in different cultures.. the truth is both a mighty God and Goddess existed before creation but all other things that follows in this story are totally friction... used for emphasis while not being literally true
