    im glad someone is taking us behind the scenes because supercars lacks that big time.

      Appreciate this comment.
      This is a huge reason why I watch a lot more of WTAC and F1.
      Bit of a shame really since this is Australia's motorsport.

      @ck867 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You don’t watch anything Larko does for Supercars? It’s kinda hard for Supercars to show us the build of a car, because ya know, they don’t run a team/build cars...

    • @beagle7622
      @beagle7622 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      You know closing up the paddock & the pit area for racing fans is something that does the sport no good . There is a proportion of fans that want to know what’s happening with the cars. These days you don’t get the chance . Also V8 Supercars don’t really want you to know that a Ford Mustang began its life as a Nissan Ultima.

    • @ck867
      @ck867 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Beagle76 - to be fair, if you don’t know that COTF is based upon a unique chassis by this point, no amount of paddock access is going to give you that. Also, no amount of paddock access on race weekends is going to give you anywhere near the info that this build series is giving us. How are Supercars supposed to replicate this as per the original complain?? They don’t build cars!

    • @beagle7622
      @beagle7622 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Chris Kelly Even when Larry began winning Bathurst in 93 I think, you could get near the cars & see what made them tick. There was a period around 2000 where everything under the bonnet was hidden. The whole show has withdrawn into pit enclosures for most races. That’s my point. This is 1st class, Todd is giving a lot of interesting information.I am a bit of purist . I grew up getting close to these cars. Larko’s stuff is very interesting as is Crompton’s commentary. I admit I have only been to Sandown recently.

    It's so rare to see in-depth behind-the-scenes footage like this. It's the most interesting aspect of the sport and yet you almost never see it.

    Wow Todd, I take my hat off to you guys. To basically start from scratch with plenty of unknowns and the associated costs that go with takes plenty of guts. I love this video series and keep up the great work!!

      Jay Rielly for the money they should have their true 850HP to justify the investment. Not the piddly 650

    • @gubbah
      @gubbah 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @ Jay Rielly...R & D would be the most expensive process, after final testing is completed, the parts will be fairly cheap to manufacture. A lot cheaper than consistantly buy "off the shelf" parts.

    • @gubbah
      @gubbah 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @ Symo S...That's the whole idea, a "piddly" 650HP engine will last a lot longer than an 850HP engine, which would be lucky to finish a sprint round let alone an enduro.

    Just love what you guys are doing here.
    A real look behind the scenes of what brings a racecar to life.
    As a machinist by Trade, I naturally take a bit of an interest in that billet stuff and it's just beautiful.
    But I'm blown away by the quality of the work by the fabricators. Those welds are perfect.
    Real craftsman at work.
    Keep the episodes coming. Cheers.

    Keep em coming boys. Cant wait till we see 'The Stang' completed . Hopefully when u guys get the engine on the Dyno u will show it. The mind boggles at the CNC machines. The finished component, compared to the block of Aluminum/Steel they start with is phenomenal. I could stand there all day and watch this symphony of drills & assorted bits carve out this pieces of art. .🤞🤞🤞👍👍👍👌👌👌

    Good work loving the vids and the workmanship thats being put out in both the video's and cars. But Wow supercars have it so backwards :o for what is a full chassi car that could of just had the body hung on it with simple brackets instead they make you use old pre project blueprint methods of building the car that were done to be cheaper back then no wounder supercars cost is out of control that's just crazy like 3 weeks to hang the body on the car which would just take couple of days at most.
