    I love the shot of the other photographer in the opening of the cave, the other shots are excellent but that one stands out for me. I didn't know they said "bum" in Canada, I thought only us Brits and some Australians used that word. Great video, great tips for getting a shot and very real forgetting your remote. You also covered what a lot of photographers don't realise, that your foreground is often darker.

    Do you have good weather apps or features within apps you use to give you a better idea of when it's worth the trek to attempt a good shot(s) because the horizon will be clear enough to allow light diffraction?

    Great video and results! I'm not sure if you're aware of this but (in most cases) if you go any high then f/17 you start to lose sharpness in your image. I usually shoot anywhere from f/14-16 for landscapes but of course I see what you're doing stopping down your aperture to extend your shutter speed.
    Just wanted to make sure you know!

    For years I've carried a small three-legged stool on the side of my backpack so I don't have to sit on the ground. Roughly $20 at a outdoor store. Doesn't take up much space and gets me lots of comments in photo classes. Just a thought. BTW - Great photos, nice presentation. Glad you don't take yourself too seriously.

      For a while, I used a seat pan from an F-4 ejection seat. It's butt-shaped and very light - aluminum, I think.

      I wondered too. I doubt it's a phone, the mic is too good; probably a shotgun mic.
      Maybe her channel includes that info on the "about" page?

    I get it your option for a long exposure to get the watter as smooth as glass and it creates a wonderful pic but how can I take a pic of a similar environment but capturing the waves without loosing light in the photo?

    • @KutWrite
      @KutWrite 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Neutral-Density (ND) filter will do that. A variable one gives you more options.

    indeed, i did it today, where i were out at the beach and the sun had set, and i waited like 10-20 min after, and i thought that it couldnt get better, but half way home i saw the sky was intense red and really stunning, and i were like DAMMIT, but rookie mistake i guess

    Is An ND Filter Needed?

  • @garcesbizama
    @garcesbizama 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    Query...
    You would not cover the viewfinder so that it is not contaminated ambient light?

    • @KutWrite
      @KutWrite 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think she's guessing at her exposures anyway.
      The viewfinder won't affect the actual photo, only, perhaps, the metering. The mirror flips up during exposure, blocking the VF from the light path to the sensor.

  • @CaptainVapes
    @CaptainVapes 7 ปีที่แล้ว
