RISHIKUND SAINJDHAR TREK JOSHIMATH CHAMOLI UTTRAKHAND NAND DEVI BIOSPHERE RESERVE, GARHWAL HIMALAYA

This is one of the most beautiful and exotic trek in Uttrakhand. In Monsoon this area looks like out of the world. We did this trek in Third Week of September 2022. It was raining heavily due to extended Monsoon. We completed this trek in 5 days time including 2 nights stay at Kanthela camp due to Bad Weather. However, in clear weather, this trek can easily be completed in 4 days time. This is one of the steepest trek in the entire Himalaya wherein you have to climb 2100m in a distance of approx. 12 kms. Though it was bit tough for my age but I thoroughly enjoyed the trek. Since it rained heavily during entire 5 days time but we got grand view of Clouds playing with the Mountain tops of mighty Central Garhwal Himalaya. Due to continuous Rains, it was lush green all over. Hence, we were able to capture beauty of Jungle/Meadow when they were at their best. Our guide Pradeep Butola ( Phone [phone] ), a native of the Suki Village, is an excellent person with deep knowledge of the area and its culture. He is a good singer and Rapper too. Due to cloud cover we could not see peaks of Eastern Garhwal Himalaya( Nanda Devi Sanctuary) but on a clear day you can have close view of all these peaks e.g. Lampak, Garur, Trishuli, Hardeol, Rishi Pahad, Saf Minal, Dunagiri, Maa Nanda Devi, Devisthan, Bethartoli, Tirshul, Nandaghunti and Ronti( Located NE to SW from the Sainjdhar). A wonderful trek recommend for trekkers who want to do tough trek in less time.
