Hello everyone, and thanks for tuning in while I was in the process of moving. It took forever to get my internet going with the new provider, but it's finally back on! I've been spending my free time transcribing the first chorus for Madman over and over again. Nigel's drums and Dee's bass were pretty easy, but Elton's piano work here was very tricky. My first two attempts were doing what I always did and just listening to the playback by ear and giving it my best shot, but things still just sounded a bit off. To my luck, there is a short camera segment during the live performance that includes what Elton is doing with his hands when the first chorus begins. It took nearly an entire week getting everything worked out going frame-by-frame but after that, I used that short video segment to try and guide what he was doing for the rest of the chorus. There are probably a few flubs here or there that need to be worked out, but it's pretty darn close to what he's playing. I threw the video update online not hiding it behind a paywall to make up for the nearly month long silence on my part. Hope you all enjoy. Now to go a little mad transcribing that first jazzy solo.
a bit of a random request, but I've been hooked on 11-17-70 recently and love your work with it on here, and was wondering if you'd be able to do Honky Tonk Women. Thanks for the other transcriptions, they all help a ton!!
