J.D. doing the self hug and staring into the camera made this show what it is. Damn I miss this show each week. Am I the only one who feels everything is quickly winding down ?
I felt it when he said, 'While I'm sitting at home staring at the ceiling wishing I had someone to talk, is knowing none of you idiots know how lucky you are'
At least angry in a justified way. I can think of quite a few times where he was completely in the wrong when he got mad. In this scene though, I totally get it
@@RegularSizeRick Best example of J.D's childish and entitled anger? Complaining to Dr Cox that his parents did considerable 'emotional' damage to him, not yet knowing that Cox's parents did serious emotional and physical damage to him and his sister.
American television nearly peaked with this show. Everything about it was dripping with massive creative effort from beginning to end and that’s not something you see with a lot of in this country’s industry.
Unfortunately, Muricans want shows that has cheating, cringe moments, unfunny jokes with built in laughtracks, and so on. Most people nowadays don't like good writing because they dont understand them.
Scrubs has been always underatted. This show was 100% better than friends. Got all the series on dvd , still watch it to this day. Never seen all the fake friends episodes. This i can watch all day.
Probably one of the single most relatable lines in any piece of media on the human experience of loneliness. It is such an emotionally and crushing experience. I can understand his rage. I honestly wish everyone could find someone they love. But, that’s not this world. This rant was one of the reasons that made JD so relatable. Even though he’s a doctor and I’m not. Me and this character are living in the same shoes. Just walking different paths. Granted he got his girl in the end and I still have no one. I mean I had someone for a bit... but, it didn’t work out. It’s hard to find people into me. Especially since I don’t have much going in the looks department
In the same boat mate, it is hard. I wish I had something to say that would cause either one of us to experience a modicum of comfort, but the truth is that you're probably ideal for someone. I'm probably ideal for someone. It's about finding that person. Which is the hardest part of all. Where to look. How to look, without looking like you're looking too much. It's all a bit nuanced, and I'm not sure overthinkers stand much of a chance in the relationship field, without first finding something to throw ourselves at continuously, so that when we finally find someone to deal with our bull, they don't have to wear our insecurities as well. I guess, tl;dr - You're not alone in feeling alone. I hope you're doing okay.
@@fancypig I don't disagree with you, but it makes me wonder why some people have others flock to them while other people have to work just to get with one person. Is there a certain type that just goes well with most people?
My brother watches this scene all the time….I try to be there for him, but I can only do so much 🥺 I truly hope he can find that right person someday soon
Anyone who's ever really experienced loneliness has at some point at least wanted to bite people's heads off for talking like they just don't get how lucky they really are. I know none of us really know what anyone else is going through but... yeah.
I have watch this series a bunch of times from start to finish and it still hits every emotion like I'm watching it for the first time absolutely love this show! And I have noticed some things that I missed before
This scene really hits me where I live. At the beginning of my sophomore year of high school I got depressed because I was lonely and didn't have the kind of relationships I wanted. The feeling of being alone is the worst feeling in the world
first something funny from the deadcoma patient and than out of nothing - a explosive Jd and a great teaching lesson about people who are lonely - than laverne: did i miss something good?? ... just perfect writing
Modern streaming channels such as Amazon Prime Video screwed this scene up by changing the song for another one. Luckily enough, I watched Scrubs as a teenager back in the days.
I think I might be strange because I do like being alone. I don't hate company but I do need time to myself and honestly living alone for the last four years and probably for the next two years at least doesn't upset or frighten me. I love my own company, I sing, read, watch videos, work, cook, laugh, do whatever on my own. Other people might find it crazy but honestly I'm quite happy. I wish I could help lonely people learn to enjoy spending time on their own too. Not to become asocial or unsociable. But just to be comfortable and genuinely happy alone too. To not feel lonely when you're alone. Whether in a crowd or in a small empty house.
It's moments like this that keep me from watching this show. Before anyone starts coming down on me - IT'S BECAUSE IT'S SO GOOD. It hits me right in the fucking heart. Might as well have put a target on my chest. Yeah, people might not be meant to be alone, and yet, some of us will have to be I guess.
This is a cool and relatable scene..to an extent. JD is a good looking guy who’s only single for 5 minutes. He has no idea what it’s like for us non-hotties haha
Gábor Since the song still belongs to the artist/band that wrote it, they have the right to revoke the use of it if they don't feel they're being compensated appropriately, if they just don't want their song on a streaming video service, etc. Sucks in the case because the original soundtrack of the show was so great!
Be alone and get a little depressed or "be with" someone and bang ur head against the wall daily with some great moments thrown in???? Tbh.....idk. lol.
"Nothing sucks than the feeling of being all alone." JD has no idea how terrible things can get. Try being in so much financial debt that you have no hope (the #1 reason of suicides in the world). Try to imagine being told that you have stage-4 cancer, because you didn't get health checkup every year due to you having to spend all your money on bills (and still be in debt). Feeling of being alone? If that was one of my biggest worries, then I would be a very happy man.
@kollie79 I refuse your request. JD's a doctor. He should know better than to say, "Nothing sucks more than the feeling of being all alone." Loneliness sucks, but there are so much worse things than that, and he ought to know better, and therefore never say such luxurious thing.
