Thank you for the video, very informative. Let me make a few suggestions because I largely used your video for my own A30 install. I make these because some of the things you've done will now void your warranty wit Bose. Doing a few minor things will allow you to reassembly the system to send it in if you have issues. #1 DON'T cut the cable run (about the 6 minute mark) Instead remove the "nut" from the glue. Pull up gently and it will come out. Then disconnect the two connectors from the other side and slide through the bridge. All of the plastic pieces can come out. #2 Gently pry the circuit board off the other side and slide the whole unit out. #3 Leave the cable run plastic pieces together but if you want to get inside of them, use a heat gun to soften the glue. Then you can get a small flat-head screwdriver in the end by the ear swivel (the thing you cut around and left on your cables). #4 Once both sides are detached from the whole unit, reconnect the connections on the circuit board and slide the board into one of the cable runs. The glue should still be sticky enough to stay attached to the inside. #5 tape the cable run ends together with electrical tape, and reinsert the screws into the other ends. Add Velcro to both sides, so that it will attach behind the nape padding (both to the helmet and the nape padding itself).
The rest of the video is great, but by doing the things above, you can put the unit back together if needed to send to Bose for repairs. Hopefully my instructions are clear and this helps someone along the way. Just as a side note...any "kit" you purchase from any of Tiger Performance or anyone else who will mount an A30 (or A20 for that matter) will void the warranty of the Bose unit, and if you have issues you'll be left with a $1200 paperweight.

Thanks, hopefully those tips will help someone else. In hide sight those are definitely some better ways of doing it. Personally I probably wouldn't attempt to reconstruct it and send it back to Bose for repairs but that's just me. Yes is definitely voids the warranty, Bose specifically states not to install the A30 into a helmet. Hope yours work wells, I love the audio and bluetooth/music but I get feedback if the seal is lost around the ear cup.

@@lighty9023 I've done the install with the A20 (x2) and now with the help of your video, I've done an A30 as well. I have had to reassemble the A20 it to send it in to Bose for repairs in the past which is why I suggested the slight changes. They've always taken great care of me, honestly some of the best customer service I've gotten from any company. I hope I don't have to send it in, but you never can tell. Again thank you for the great video.

Easier/cheaper method: Bose QC35 noise cancelling headphones can be had for $30. If your helmet already has a mic, just swap out the headphones in the helmet with the existing wiring.

I'm doing this at the moment with a Bose X into my Lift AV-1 helmet. Fingers crossed...
