Thanks for the info Gary, I have used Linux for a long time and tried the BSD's on occasion, giving FreeBSD a good run on a Thinkpad x230t at the moment and everythings working well, even touchsreen and stylus input. I'm running Sway WM (wayland with xwayland too), really enjoyed this info on FreeBSD audio, have the same problem that you encountered when trying to capture audio in a screen recorder. Have tried to send audio via monitor to a screen recorder (tried wf-recorder and OBS), video no problem but audio not captured. If you find a solution I would be be interested, I have been able to capture audio on Arch Linux using wf-recorder and include the monitors audio.
