Eoghanii woah lmao heroin is probably one of the greatest songs ever written tbh
0bbpoison it’s literally my favorite song of all time
Ya, melon is schleep
Vincent Trivigno He picked Sweet Jane as number 3. That's not exactly a deep track
Heroin would come full circle now, arguably more socially relevant now than it was 50 years ago.

There she goes again is one of my favourite songs, gotta love the riff and lyrics~
The demo is ( far ) better
Too bad the riff is copied from Hitch Hike. Still a great song though
@@thebadfella5296 it’s an extremely simple rif to call it a rip off, even the original probably wasn’t original
@@Stanley_Baby I know it was only 9 months ago, but my comment makes me cringe now. The riffs are curiously similar, and Hitch Hike probably didn't invent it, but I think they're both great songs
@@thebadfella5296 Yes I agree, and I’m Sure Lou would love to have written a song that inspired someone else to come up with a great song. It has similarities to Sunday morning and for me they are the groups two best songs.
Candy Says is quite literally my favorite song ever made

8. The murder mystery
7. Beginning to see the light
6. Run run run
5. She's my best friend
4. Black Angels death song
3. I'm set free
2. I can't stand it
1. I found a reason
My favorite song by these guys is "Pale Blue Eyes" for two reaons. 1.) That was the first song I ever heard from them which turned me on to them. 2.) "Pale Blue Eyes" is so straightforward and simplistic that it's genius! I never heard a song like this that used such a simple progression (the keyboard progression doesn't change throughout the whole song) accompanied with profound yet straightforward lyrics that really tugs the heart-strings.
Also "Run, Run, Run" is a close favorite as well :)
1) Sweet Jane
2) I'm Waiting For the Man
3) Oh Sweet Nuthin'
4) Pale Blue Eyes
5) Sunday Morning
6) White Light, White Heat
7) Rock and Roll
8) Sister Ray

VU be the only band getting people to like soft pop rock songs and harsh noise rock songs at the same time
Smoked to their self titled last night. Blissful.
1) candy says
2) oh! sweet nothing
3) Sunday morning
4) pale blue eyes
5) Jesus
6) Run Run Run
7) the murder mystery
8) heroin
9) I'm waiting for the man
10) I found a reason
I recently put up a list and we have very similar in the 10, nice!
It's really hard for me to choose songs, but The Velvet Underground and Nico, and Loaded are my favorites
I have always seen the song as an relief, and I will continue to see it as that.
"I'm Set Free" never gets enough love.
I didn't even have to think, Heroin!
Always did have a soft spot for the song "Waiting for the Man"... it does have a very unique sound.
Perfect album
I don't think I could pick just 10.
After seeing the banana album for years in the shop window I decided to give it a listen a year ago and loved it instantly.
make this a series! tom waits, beatles, radiohead, the who, beastie boys, neil young...madonna :O just some suggestions
all right im gonna say it...
top ten bands!
do it athony
Ocean (Outtake)
heroin and all tomorrows parties are my #1 and 2. oh sweet nuthin is another one that would make my top ten. I feel that its very underrated.
Are you serious? WHAT GOES ON!!! WHAT GOES ON!!! WHAT GOES ON!!!
YOU SIR HAVE A KEEN TASTE IN MUSIC
rather than actually become a heroin addict, i listen to heroin by velvet underground on loop.
Fandango should go back also to doing favourite list videos
A girl sang After Hours on our graduation. I fell in love for some minutes. Too bad it was the last time I saw her... haha.
great list!
You don't have anything from 'Loaded', which I guess is sort of understandable. But 'Oh, Sweet Nuthin' is the track of theirs I find myself returning to again and again.
Its there best track imo which is ironic because Lou's not on it. Loaded is really good in general ie Oh, Sweet Jane, who loves the sun, rich and roll, new age, I found a reason
Good God, Anthony. I'll Be Your Mirror. I'LL BE YOUR MIRROR!!! Sorry, I just really love that song.
You fogot Heroin - 'It's my wife and it's my life"

AFTER HOURS
Femme Fatale
rock n' roll if you had to have one more
Stephanie Says
Aesop Rock - Skelethon. But you already knew that.
Can - The Lost Tapes
You really think I'm gonna sit through this ??!!
HEROIN?!?!?!
Thanks man, this is great.
I was kinda disappointed when I found out the bass player Doug Yule sang almost half the songs off Loaded. I always thought it was Lou.
After Hours = Good list
The Gift!!
Who loves the sun is beautiful
The murder Mystery should be on the last list
obviously this list is a personal opinion, but I am shocked Heroin was not included.
the murder mystery???
Number one is and always will be pale blue eyes... then femme fatale
I still remember where I was when I first heard Velvet Underground & Nico
Well, that was short...
What happened to track reviews? Can you do one on the new No Doubt single, Settle Down?
No Oh! Sweet Nuthin'?
Aesop Rock - Skelethon
review the new Passion Pit and the new debut from Purity Ring, they are leaked and very easy to find already. and please review "Life Is Good" tomorrow
I’ll be your mirror is the only the best song on the 1st album besides waiting for the man.
No heroine? I'm so......confused
he fucking died on a sunday morning
what used to be a happy song is now incredibly depressing
U AINT SAFE IN KOREA TOWN BRODDIEEE!!!!!!

Underrated VU songs:
Jesus
The Gift
The Murder Mystery
Femme Fatale
Black Angels Death Song
Murder mystery🖤
Did u say femme fatale lmaoooo
The gift isnt really much of a song more like a story
Aidan McA it’s spoken word. Like Slint
Femme Fatale isn’t underrated

8. Sunday Morning
9. Venus in Furs
10. Ride Into the Sun
New Age is a masterpiece
Ride Into the Sun is so great. And thank you for giving New Age some love.
love ride into the sun
How does NO ONE love "beginning to see the light" or "new age" those are my two favorite
Love the transition of rhythm in beginning to see the light. Love that track too, you're not alone
Two fantastic VU songs. Beginning to see the light is kickass rock n roll!
There are problems in this times, ooooohhhhh but none of them are mine!
New Age is brilliant. Also I don't know why no one talks about Oh Sweet Nuthin'. It might be more "accesible" than the rest but fuck me. It's such such a powerful song, the god damn drums in the end are killer.
Beginning to see the light is too long and repetitive imo. Other VU songs had good reason to be long and repetitive, this one didn't
1. Heroin
2. Candy Says
3. Venus In Furs
4. Sister Ray
5. Sunday Morning
6. European Son
7.Femme Fatale
8. The Gift

4.) The Gift
5.) European Son
6.) Candy Says
7.) What Goes On
