- I designed and printed an ESC Torture Chamber! Manufacturers are claiming crazy ratings like 100 amps and some even more! It's time someone kept them honest! I will strap in new ESC's and torture them until they either survive or explode and then we will know who is fibbing and who is telling the truth! 👀

Also try get the cheapest esc on the market just to see how it does!!! oh yeah could you not maybe use a power supply over a battery?
iFlight succex 60A metal capped esc should be tested! I would bet it is slightly underrated..

I agree with fpvgirl get you some acrylic sheet cover. Also get one of the 100+ amp shunt meters off ailexpress or amazon. Or hall effect meter and run that in series. Mount the display so the camera can see the amp draw too. In fact bro give me a list of ESCs you want to run, I can send cash over... let's do this....
A true torture chamber, put some plexiglass around it for protection, try this esc ..50amp tmotor pacer limited edition esc curious to see if it really is a 50amp...or just hype. Good video though

please be very careful, recommend some kind of cage for the props! even wire mesh lid over the top would be better than nothing. deffo wear some safety goggles too. protect your eyes, props break and s**t happens!

I see at least two problems here on your tests :
- It's really not representative of the real use of the ESC's. single ESC's will have one insulation material over them, preventing the wind to cool them down. 4-in-1 ESC's will not get hit by much wind. The amp rating does not mean anything. If you can cool them down really well, they can handle a lot more than their rating. If you really want to test the rating, put a set of resistors at the output of the ESC and let them draw the rated current.
- Usually, electronics die because of the temperature cycling. By getting hot, the materials expand and stress all the solderings. That happens when you ask more current for a limited amount of time, and repeat when the electronics cool down.
This is how power electronics are actually tested :)

@@M-H433 I won't do one since I don't think there is any point in doing so. your ESC's will get stressed depending on your motors and props. so many possible configurations, there really is not point in my opinion. It only allows you to compare one ESC to the other, but that's about it

I'm using it on a 7 '' , 6S, and in Blackbox, I never get more than 30A, even with very high C LiPo. I read the same from a pilot with 7" and 2805 motors, using that same 50A Mamba ....

You should maybe wire some lipos in parallel that the batteries don't limit the whole system. But other than that I loved the video. Keep it up man!

I would expect a 25 amp esc too take at least 50 amps, even if for just short burts, from experience
HGLRC Forward 60A ESC. Push that baby to the max!
