You could also say that for some other shows on around the same time, too. Con and The Hollow Men premiered around the same time. Basically, 2005 is what I would consider Comedy Central's "weird middle era" Chappelle quit his show, Crank Yankers had just ended its original run, and Colin Quinn was cancelled. They tried replacing those shows with Con, Hollow Men, and Too Late with Adam Carolla, but most were cancelled after one season.
