I was in a camp that ran a cowardice system very similar in Columbus Ohio. Listen to what he said "if someone knocked my tray out my hand they getting split". That's cool but you getting to ass beat by a bunch of cowards. Personally I play chess not checkers. I volunteered to fight someone even the toughest guys didn't want to fight. I found out why after I almost got my head knocked off. They sent a coward to help me with this dude. I would hate to see the outcome if I didn't get assistance that's just being honest. I took flight on two dudes in something that wasn't my business. That got me by. In this system it don't matter how hard you or or how much you can fight. When the politics is fucked up you gotta adjust. My advice to young homies that think they want to live this life. 1) don't choose this life. 2) if you do always work out and learn a martial art. Turn your body into a weapon for when you have to use it. 3) be the most violent person you know. The dude who took the blues, find you a weapon and hit the eyes or neck when he sleeping. Bruh, I was hooked on the down back in '12 and got locked up and it was better for me to withdrawal there than at home - being locked up brought me mentally to a place that was above the withdrawal - cant be showin weakness on the range and becoming a target. But that's just my experience - shame to those doing any time feeling deathly sick, with predators to your left, your right, in front of your face and directly behind you. Fuck that.

You need your humanity to survive prison as well. He didn't break, they did. Those types never leave prison and if they Do they return ..because all they know is being an animal in a cage.
Trust me, losing your humanity is just as torturous in prison as the beatings are. That's exactly why they're jumping homeboy in the first place the pain of losing your humanity hurts ... Probably worse than a lock to the face.
