@@GalanofTaa-rw8dk i’ll be honest I have no idea, I just know it looks really cool lol so it’s likely just to hang up there with its tang left undiscovered:)
Most sowrds like this are made from crappy steel, but all that really means for a collector is, if you ever use it, the blade it has will dull like no tomorrow. But you can alao shapren it pretty easily. Soft steel and all that
@@claytucker5025 it’s probably a wise precaution actually, a lot of countries don’t follow the safety guidelines about lead like the US does, and Amazon can at times be a bit lackadaisical with their oversight… You never know… But since I’m not gonna be handling it, I don’t know if it makes any difference… It’s just gonna stay right there on the wall lol
@@imeric6299 You mentioned you oiled it, so it likely doesn't have a coating of lead on the blade itself, which is about the only place I can think of, besides painting on either the pommel or the guard, which could have lead based paint on it. Other than that, where else could lead be???
@@claytucker5025 it came piled actually…and I have no clue where lead might exist on it, like I mentioned in the video. I’m no swordsman, I’m also no scientist lol I’m just a fat nerd that hangs pointy things on his wall… I likely won’t test it, just because I don’t have the time or inclination I’ll just leave it where it is and look at it and raise my rum and Coke in salute:)
Biggest thing about its construction is, is it full tang. If so, you have a good sword.

I’ll be honest with you I wouldn’t know who the first thing about sharpening the sword lol… I think it’s best to just sit up there and look good
@@imeric6299 that's a good plan lol
You should get it tested for lead.
@@WhosThere26 you know, you’re probably not entirely wrong on that
What makes you think it should be tested for lead?
