    I lost it when you threw the snorkel. I am rolling on the ground. You are a real scuba diver there sir. 😎

    Love the "trash can with a hole" idea. I was using an Ikea storage box but I love your idea better 🙂

    Good video! I recommend unrolling the smb, and drying it inflated. It's a good test for a critical piece of equipment. Keep the videos coming!

    Hi, I just wanted to ask you something. I dive 3 to 4 times a day, and my boss doesn't want me to clean my equipment at lunch time in front of our customers, so I'm forced to let it wet and salty for a couple hours before i go back in the water in the afternoon. Is it really bad for the gear and specially for the regulator to do this everyday ? Or it's fine like this to clean it only every night after the whole diving day.
    Thank's for your answer.
    Adrian

      Hi Adrian!
      I work two charters a day quite often and I NEVER have time to rinse gear in-between trips.
      Truth be told..... when the season is really going strong, it’s normal for my kit to get nothing more than a quick blast with the garden hose at the dock at the end of the day.
      Sometimes I’ll work 6 or 7 days straight like this. When I get an off day I’ll take the time to let it all soak.
      I’ve never had any problems arise from this. It’s just part of being a working diver!

    I have it on how you have to buy a snorkel to get certified. Well at least for me I mean I'm a scuba diver! When will I use it it's maximum depth is about 33 cm!!!😂

      @Merakidiving  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      It’s like it tell my open water students...
      “I use a snorkel all the time.
      When I’m snorkeling.
      When it comes to diving, though, I’ve yet to find one that breathes worth a crap at 60’.”
      Thanks for watching!

    That's the fanciest rinsing thingy I've ever seen. I've only not rinsed my gear once, it's generally a habit.

    • @Merakidiving
      @Merakidiving  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      dharmapunk5,
      Thank you!
      Here in Alabama we are quite proud of the advancements we’ve made in trash can technology.

      The line 'it's a trash can (beat) with a hole in it', was a fun bit of comedic timing. I live on a sailboat so sadly I don't have room for a trash can that size. However, I usually find a way.

    So is it ok to wash my wet suit in the washing machine? Room temperature water

    • @Merakidiving
      @Merakidiving  6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I prefer to wash mine by hand, as shown in the video.
      Machine washing your suit might be OK in theory, but I prefer not to for a coupe of reasons:
      - Wetsuits are somewhat heavy and bulky. It may cause some wear and tear on your machine
      - An older style washer with a large agitator may cause some stress on the seams of your suit and lead to premature wear
      - Since I wouldn’t use the spin cycle, pulling a large, dripping wet suit out of the machine in my laundry run room makes a bit of a mess.
      Thanks for watching!

  • @MC-tm2uy
    @MC-tm2uy 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    Does peeing in the wetsuit considered rinsing? Since it's technically not salt water...asking for a friend :P

    • @greyhooves3959
      @greyhooves3959 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I assume this is a joke, but if not, just think of it this way: do you think a friend would be okay with another friend smelling like urine whenever they put on their wetsuit?

    Leave you dive gear in the back of the car for a few days? Remind me to never dive with you or anyone who carelessly dosent take care of their under water "LIFESUPPORT"
