OIL PASTELS SAVE Your Coloring Page | RE-DO an Astronaut in Kerby Rosanes' Worlds Within Worlds

I have never forget about the page and it always bothered me.
In this video I want to show you that there's always a way how to "fix" the coloring page if you don't like it.
I didn't like this page at first. Originally, I had an idea how to make the background and the scene inside the helmet, but I ended up with dull colors, no contrast and black background which I made with acrylic paint and because I didn't want to work with acrylics more (not my favorite medium), I was stuck. The thing is, that all the other media like colored pencils, watercolors, soft pastels, etc. just don't work well on top of acrylics.
However, discovering oil pastels was a game changer. The advantage of them is that they work on various surfaces, including acrylic paint.
So here I transformed and ugly page into a piece I'm proud of.

Aaaw thanks! I'm glad you like it :) For oil pastels I use liquid oil pastel varnish by Royal Talens or spray fixativ by Sennelier :) Both work well :)
