Love the fact that when Gretsch does a custom shop guitar they dress it up to the nines and make it immaculate. When Fender and Gibson do a custom shop instrument, their idea of creating a masterpiece consists of hitting it with keys, gouging out pieces of the finish or woods, and generally inducing uncharacteristically heavy wear than what would be expected of how any normal working musician would actually treat their instrument that toiled hard for their money😅.
HA! Get down Cooper! You deserve to. Great presentation boys. This guitar sounded great to me, except when the mud mode. I’m among those whom don’t get it, I’m afraid. Probably because my talent isn’t good enough yet. Love your videos and watch every one.
I am only commenting because of the serious begging at the end. I was torn between a Gretsch and a Duesenberg Starplayer TV. Finally went for the Doozy. Maybe next time. Shhhh don't tell Mamma.😊
Gretsch are generally used in country, rockabilly and blues depending on the model. Some of the solid bodies have interesting range depending on the year and model. I play a corvette with the old powertrons in them and it is a lot of fun. Very comfortable and light, all Gretsch solid bodies are chambered. The vet I play can handle pretty much any 90s stuff like pumpkins and also let's me play rockabilly easily enough.
@@KT-fn6me I honestly am hard pressed to think of any genre that you can't find a guitar for from them. The TV Jones pickups always sound special to me.
Incredible looking thing, but with the Bigsby and the pickup switches up by the neck, there's not much space for strumming. I'd be forever smacking one of the two
I think that I might have left y'all a bad comment once (the introduction of urban iron bark, or whatever it was called). Every review it sounded horrid, except yours. I try to remain positive, and I try to not compliment Cooper, but he is a beautiful person and I hope a son whom I once said "looks like Jesus" and he cut his hair.
Thanks. Great review, and the player's chord progs and riffs showed the depth of the instrument's tonality and versatility.

This could be the perfect guitar
You had better buy it...and I agree.
Yes. Not much more to say. Just Yes.

What an absolutely stunning guitar. I love that filtertron sound. 😍…. Only 4 available in Australia and “only” $5,889 here in Melbourne 😢☹️.
This guitar is "cool," but Cooper has a Masters degree in cool from UTA, and Chris is great too!

Nice playing. I want one. It's between this and the Collings JL. What do you suggest?
Thanks fellas. Maybe Podcast roast could be a thing sure 🤐
HELD FOR REVIEW :-)
What genre are these generally used for?
Tasty playing by the way. Thanks for the review. Would like to see more Gretsch products reviewed.
