You'll probably like the newest upcoming hunter Hullabaloo. He's extremely aggressive - possibly the most of all hunters in the game - and has terrible camping.
@@onesmartcat yes but Hullabaloo has the down side of needing to hit a surviver 1 time in one of evrry color aria araund him to damage them so his not relly new player friendly
Na, that's not hard to do, especially with no hit animation. Stuff that isn't new player friendly is like needing map knowledge to use the character. Like Mad Eyes. That is a hunter who is not new player friendly.
DBD muscle memory. I don't know how it works in IDV, but in DBD survivors have a speed reduction on drops. Almost always a guaranteed hit unless they have a perk.
@@onesmartcatohh I didn’t know it worked like that in dbd, I guess i should have expected it since these games are really the same thing 😂 In idv almost all hunters can do a drop down hit, not really dependent on persona trait. In persona web for idv there should be a speed boost for dropping off from high elevation. In idv it just straight up cancels attack recovery when you get a hit like that. It’s why a high level geisha player is really scary when camping chair. The butterflies allow her to pull off so many tricks, especially a drop down hit if survivor isn’t careful.
@@sherka930 I have been! It's fun learning all the hunters. If this is the first video of mine you've seen, I've been playing and making IDV content for about a month. I've learned a lot since the early videos, but I still a have lot to go through.
Cool trick! You can use your cape(the ability you get at 1st presence which lets you get another dash space) while mid animation of dashing to not waste time. Another trick is that you can basic attack while in your shadow and your dash won't be on cooldown, useful if you think you're barely out of dash range for another wall/obstacle! Also remember your speed boost after dashing to anything is only 1 second so for opera singer, you just need to keep dashing and dashing and dashing
Good video, you're doing so well! Dont know if someone already mentioned this or you know about it already but just a little tip about which ciphers are being worked on: the pole of the cipher machine will shake/wiggle while being decoded if the progress of the cipher machine is over 20%, so you can easily see which one is getting decoded from afar by looking at the blue outline of the cipher!
Sangría is a great character and a strong hunter, but she takes a lot of practice. Even doe her skills are easy to understand, the right execution will take you far!!! Hope you enjoy her
Opera Singer / Sangria (yes thats her name, like the drink) She is a rather recent Hunter from 2023 last summer release. So not alot of Story is known about her. She is a talented and famous Opera singer who seems to have been abused and used by her oarents, who used her for miney with her talent. Her father the Theater director were she would grew up in and work. Her story trailer (ever character has a trailer) shows scars on her back so the conditions weren't good for her. Now her story goes quite vauge! She seemingly has smth to do with a ''red lady'' and a possible ''goat cult''. ''We'' the Community call it goat cult as a goat symbol was drawn on Sangrias brow but nothing else is really known about them! Eventually Sangrias parents die (possible murder but not confirmed) And at last, during a performance at a huge theater, everyone burned. Sangria usually had full house visitors and it was said no one escaped as if the doors and windows could not be opened. Sangria vanished during that fire (possible sacrefice to the cult?) Eventually Sangria will be invited to the Manor during a game were she meets the Grave Keeper Andrew Kreiss, The Breaking Wheel/ the 3 Will Brothers and the Violinist Antonio (there is another participants who is so far still unknown) During this ''game'' Sangria will die, details are still unknown.
First time watching your content. Interesting! Opera is a top tier hunter but her skill cap is very high to bring out her fullest potential! I hope you are enjoying IDV as much as DBD!
Glad you found the channel. I've progressed a lot in the month I've been playing and making content for IDV. I still have a lot to learn, but I've been having a lot of fun.
@@onesmartcat It's a super fun game. I've been playing since season 1 and I'm still toying with the idea of trying out DBD! I hope you stick around more!
The tram is the number one op i swear .. you don’t get to choose the tram save. The tram chooses you. It’s so funny how that one incident really changed the ending for that game.
Remember to dash before u teleport so u can warp back if you need to. Try playing on custom and race your way around the maps as her. It's both fun, and it teaches you how to move faster. Also, it's great for learning how to move on open areas with her second skill
6:40 this "damnit!" slayer me ahaha Opera is one of the most mechanical skilled hunters in the game - she's super fun (on green ping) ww 7:10 when you use her cape make sure to dash too and not just throw it out since it doesn't do anything by itself. A hyper-optimization people do is to dash and when you dash out of a shadow you throw the cape so that you land in the shadow it creates and can continue to dash. you can throw it first and then dash too of course but i see people use it as a sort of "oh shit im gonna lose my dash" fallback when they need to. 7:40 tram actually on the hunters side for once lets go- 9:30 that didn't hit thats crazy-
if you pay close attention to the cipher machines you can tell which ones are being decoded by their vibrating, they vibrate faster when a survivor is on them and they're close to completion, this can be very useful when looking for where to teleport. Its a bit hard to tell at first but you get used to looking for them eventually.
Your matches are improving way too fast!! Great job. To be fair Sangria is also a bit hard to learn hunter because of her shadows movement. Thats absolutely normal if you get stuck somewhere in textures. Once you master this you will be able catch em survivors in less than 30 seconds!! Also let's all say ggwp to mr tram🫡
Hi there, first video of yours that I've watched, and glad someone is honestly at least enjoying the game while playing. A few things about the video itself before talking about opera. (not sure about your demographic of idv to dbd players to others and not sure how much time/editing knowledge you have [I myself have very little editing knowledge] so ignore me if it's too much). At the start of the video, I feel like there is a lack of a visual element to your hunter explanations. I am an experienced idv player so I know what opera does but if there are a lot of others/dbd players maybe adding a visual component to the explanation would help. The idea I have is to just go in solo practice and record you walking around. dashing, remnants, scarf, recall for a minute each. Do the audio explanation of everything, then edit the visuals to be as long as you need it for each segment to match the audio and overlap the audio on top. as for opera: 1. I know you're still getting used to idv but I do think solo practice is great for just getting a sense of physically playing opera. A bit more practice and you will stop waiting until you get to the edge to dash 2. there is actually an outline of each shadow and where they overlay. in short, each "object segment" actually has its own separate shadow so one side of a pallet is actually a separate shadow than the other side even if there is overlap at the pallet 3. at places like corridors dashing from side to side is faster than just walking as a shadow due to the 2s speed buff every landed dash 4. if your dash goes on cd due to a bad dash, you can actually use recall to reset your dash cd if the near remnant is close enough for you to continue chase 5. you can actually dash first then drop scarf mid dash since cd resets when the dash ends, so as long as you're in a shadow/create a shadow by the end of the dash it's ok and will reset. Anyway, hope you do well and have fun.
Thanks for the suggestions and the tips! The IDV community has been very welcoming and helpful in my comments. I still have a lot to learn, but I've been enjoying trying out all the hunters.
@@onesmartcatwell characters tend to go on shop one week after essence then everyone gets a week too to practice on quick matches before they become available for ranked hope this help if you didn't know this already:)
Gonna give u some tips for playing her. When in shadow form, if u think the next shadow is too far for u to reach it, u can basic attack, it will cancel ur shadow form but it doesn't enter cooldown, so u can use it right away again to the next shadow.
That's the lizard dude, right? I have a video with him when I was first starting a couple of weeks ago. I liked him. I need to play with him again now that I know the game more.
She's very meta. I see you're very new to her since you don't constantly dash like how others play her. You can get around very easily if you know how to dash constantly because usually the dash resets when dashing towards the shadows around obstacles.
You are doing good but it looks like you are getting stuck in a shadow most of the time. You can force your exit with normal attack if that ever happen again. Also, while it true she moves 8% faster inside the shadow it's best not to stay too long inside. You should fully utilize the huge 45% bonus movement speed she gets after successful dash into a shadow. So if you can, get into a shadow and if there's no other nearby shadow you can use to dash, use normal attack to get out and dash back into the same shadow to get the bonus movement speed again.
Even after the 500 nerfs she's still tpp tier, her playstyle is really aggressive (this is why I'm always scared of seeing them). I hope you're having fun in idv btw!!
