    I am 1850 elo, playing for over 30 years and believe it or not I have never understood the minority attack until I watched your video! Thank you! I finally completely understand the minority attack and have won my last three games with the Catalan because of it! Would love to see more pawn formation videos.

    I really love your videos, just have a question. Is three a good line for white in the caro-kann where he fianchettoes his LSB?

      I doon't think so. It makes no sense in the Nc3 main line, in the e5 advance variation, in the two knights, the fantasy or anything else. I guess you might make it work in the Breyer variation (1. e4 c6 2. d3 d5)

    I just wanted to ask why moving the flank (h/a pawn) one rank up is crucial?
    From your examples I understood that sometimes it’s obviously necessary from certain plays, but on others it seemed to me only to slow down the minority attack.
    My point is that from the video that move looked almost thematic, is it the case? If not than why?
