@vfxardist really? how should I explain?! its a comment on his lack of understanding young/new hipp People in their twenties. all of them seem to not speak his language anymore, plus talking pseudo-intellectually about unimportant things, while he is having a real rock-bottom moment due to his own stupidity. so, its also the classic conflict of and old man with his problems and young hippster that act on one side uninterested about everything, but on the other side concerned about small details yet unimportant things. I think it has a similar idea behind it, then his bit about "a generation of spoiled idiots" where he doesn't fit in, but also sort of doesn't want to fit in.
all of that on a "between the line level", plus simply the best way of portraying a hangover, when the world not yet really starts to make sense again after waking up.
I hope this helps somewhat - english is not my first language^^

I've witnessed a homeless guy get up from his spot & go behind a building and come back five minutes later. In that 5 minutes, they had had an accident, went to a doctor and came back with their arm in a sling. The speed of the health service in the UK is astonishing.
My colleage saw one finish his 'shift' and just so happened to walk to his house in the same direction. When they had got about 200 meters down the road & turned down the same side road, the guy pulled out a briefcase from under the blanket he was holding, opened the briefcase & took out some keys, put the banket in the briefcase, then got into a Roll Royce.
I saw another homeless guy with two crutches outside McDonalds waving his sticks at anyone who came in & out showing how helpless and immobile he was. 1 hour later, across town, I saw him striding with his other homeless mates out of a betting shop with both sticks over his shoulder & stright into the local bar - A MIRACLE!
