Hi Dave. The 2 big ones are pro fixtures for large venues. The cost thousands in Australia if you could find then, which you can't. They expensive especially when you have to buy 8 plus of them. I imagine that most of us use sub 100w fixtures. With beams much less than that. This is just an infomertial.

Not really, here in the US the pro-level beam fixtures are 5-10x the cost of those 2. :) I know there's a large range of people here, and while you might be on the smaller scale of fixtures (and that's totally fine!), many are on the larger side of the scale or in-between :) Thanks!

Don't forget to check used markets! I got a few Elation ACL 360i's for $200 each from a Christie Lites liquidation sale. They're small 60W LED beams with infinite pan/tilt.

Hi Dave, I just found a retailer in my country that is selling a DMXIS for $600 dollars, you think it's still worth it as a starting point as an independent artist? Or should I just move on to one of Entecs more recent products?

Move on, DMXis is dying. EMU is the replacement

Hey there! What software are you using to control the lights?

I use a lot of different lighting consoles. Check out some of my videos on choosing a lighting console to help find the best one for YOUR needs :)

It would be nice to see the effects on the wall, not the lights shinning in our eyes.

Sure thing - definitely in my next office, but this one is small AND most of what beams can do is shine in the air. It's kinda their trick :)

That thing's at least 2500 bucks. Us broke ass musicians can't afford that

None of the lights mentioned are $2500 bucks :) They are all under that price point.
