WHO AM I:

"no system is the system"
Love it. This is something I usually say (and apply for myself, as I am only a very amateur player): if you're playing against a better opponent, create chaos.
There is no point trying to play finess with someone who has much more finess than you. That's trying to beat them at their own game.
Of course this only works up to a certain point. If your opponent is also a recreational player but has more experience than you, this will win you some games. But if your opponent is a very advanced player with great dexterity and control, with the ability to regain control of the ball very reliably, well, better accept your fate.
I'm impressed, in 1978 I was getting good at foosball. Then I enlisted in US Air Force and had different challenges. I'm retired now and I buy 1st Foosball table. :)
Enjoy your retirement with foosball!
We must be about the same age-I won a city wide doubles draw tournament in 1977 and I won my high school singles tournament the same year as a freshman-the seniors were unglued that a freshman won. I wish I still had the butcher block quarter million dollar table I bought with my busboy money. I'd practice making shots every day after school in my parents' basement. I could make bank shots as a forward which was rare at the time in the city I played in. Great game-glad to see how it's progressed as a sport since then.
1. Get more shots. 2 make more shots. 3. Block more shots. Lol
Great tips!
Nah really you have the best tutorials on TH-cam in my opinion
Thanks for your support!
Very good video man, keep them coming!

I thought i was super good at this game… then I watched this video 😭😂
Hi Vincent, Will here... I really like this one. Some thoughts. Number 2 Take Your Time. If I did this properly then I would be twice as good a player as I am. I can't emphasise how important this is, and how hard it is to do in practice (at least for me). Number 3, I agree so much with the idea of having no system. Being able to mix up a whole variety of shots, passes, clearances and unexpected actions makes it very difficult for the opponent to cope with you. If you want to play a system, you have to be perfect with it. It doesn't work well for me, I can say that. Number 1, this one is interesting. I have recently developed a mathematical model for analysing matches and from my method, defence is at least 75% of the game. For weaker players it's even more.
Thanks Will. Glad that this video resonates with you, especially taking more time on each of your rods - as it has a psychological effect on your opponent, such that they will rush their shots/passes as well.
Your mathematical model sounds very interesting. would definitely love to understand or hear more about what exactly that entails.
@@tripledo I hit you up on Facebook. ^Will
unbelievable! there is so much to learn!

I am a pull shot shooter , what is a good pre-shot routine ?? Also, what can I do to take more time on my pull, I seem to be too anxious when the goalies bait ?? What can I do to force myself to take more time ?? Which of your videos do you recommend for my forward game ?? Thank you for your academy !!!
Hi Tony, thanks for your comment.
1) Pre-shot routine
Basically, I would do some random tic tac on the 3 bar to get yourself warm-up first, make sure you get the feeling of the rod. Then you could start do some slow pull shots would be more than enough - the idea is to get the feeling of the shot without consuming too much energy.
2) Take your time
Discipline, discipline and discipline...when you feel anxious, take a deep breath in and control your breathing, or take a time out.
3) Videos that might help you - More videos are coming, stay tuned.

hey tony practice by over correcting the problem. (during practice) gain possession on the 3 set up, sit dead still, and then count one missippi ,two missippi, ect. all the way to 15 Mississippi sumtimes even 20 then explode on the hole. learn to love and live for the dealiest shot of all , the fifteen second straight.
VM I love your videos. You break the game down into its technical form. Many people approach foosball differently, and for me it has always been more like an analytical puzzle versus an artistic dance. I am sure people can debate little points here and there about your approach, but I think breaking anything down into its simplest form brings clarity and reason for certain actions. I think it is okay to play the game differently and for different reasons, and even those styles can win as well, but my brain is wired to think more like how you present it...thanks... good stuff!
Thanks Denis. Yes everyone approach the game differently, glad that you enjoyed my videos.
Yes, Dinis. I am a defensive player.
6:10 that was crazy
Thank you

The video would be better without the back ground noise (radio?).
Umm…i guess it is background noise in a well-populated region. That’s why you have seen me using the mic in all my latest vids.

@@VMFoosball Always welcome in Turkey, ANTALYA Dear VM. Foosing, Sun, Sea, Beer, Mountain Climbing and moreee.
while i was watching your video you were literally doing what we call "gancio" in italian all the time, thats when you pass the ball from one player to the next to his side ad score a goal, thats an illegal move.
does the rest of the world really play like that?
I guess just different playing rules and styles.
@@VMFoosball "simpleton no-skilled rules" thats sad
It's a "tutorial" with basic concepts. I suggest you watch him play on tournament level instead before commenting on "illegal" moves, that's a better showcase than this video and it will answer your last question as well. The bonzini table is a lot different than other tables in the world but not necesseraly a bad one.

at this point i am asking myself why every boxing tutorial video does not include ball kicking in the moveset
@@justanaverage1762 This video is geared toward beginners playing against much better players, such as pro, where they're unable to match their skill level on the table.
50% shooting and 50% defense 💪🏽
No i'm not a good player 😂
Haha at least you are not telling me 100% shooting and 100% defense
@@VMFoosball haha, like offense as the best defense!
Lol are we really talking about saving energy in a foosball game… lol if this is tiring I think you should consider a day of work or maybe the gym to experience what being tired actually is
Mental energy! Go focus on activities that cater to your IQ.
Jesus loves you so so much and he died for you so we can be forgiven and go to Heaven with God if you accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior so repent from your sins.Have a great day🙏🏼
