The older gent with all of the interesting "vintage" scrap really put a smile on my face. I love when things like that happen!
Yeah he was an electronics guy in his day, he put out 2 big speakers that he built himself but they were too big for me. the bucket I got there was a couple nice vintage pieces inside
Fun adventure today Ben, many of us "scrap" vicariously through your adventures. Thanks for sharing
Nice haul Ben! I am microscrapping a gas dryer while watching your video! Keep on being an inspiration to all us little microscrappers!!
That was good a hour of solid action thanks Ben, that was just the push i needed to get me out there scrapping.
good day scrapping,enjoyed the ride
Brass and copper are my favorite, looking forward to seeing you scrap out those heating units Ben.
It saddens me to see so much stuff go to the landfill , at least you doing your bit and that's wonderful Ben. keep up the great work .
I actually saw a broken yolk on my way home today and picked it up because of you.
You really found some awesome things in this haul.Your videos are my very favorite ones to watch so keep them coming.
The piles in your country are unbelievable. We have nothing like that here, or very rarely anyway. I learn a lot from your videos.
At 14:05 you missed rolled up copper pipe. It has white insulation on it!
Yeah man, 100% PURE COPPER tubing for air-con. Looks new.
Great day of scrapping mate...really lucky with the cords too!
i like when you find a box with some goodies in it
WoW ! Now That was a hasty-paced pick-up..and with such a richely condensed assortment of precious metals....Cheers Ben !
an awsome scrap day Ben, can't wait till ur next road scrap.
I've been binge watching this morning in Texas! I'm starting to scrap ewaste seems to be a much cleaner scrap with nice yield! You inspire me ben!
Hi Ben, new subscriber from the US, love your channel! I'm addicted to scrapping, maybe some day I'll get around to it! Have a great day! ❤
Love watching street scrapping!! Plus your fun to watch!!!!! You have a friend here (Me) in the center of Pennsylvania USA. Robin Jo
Pick of the day - Batteries! 💕
I love batteries even more now...
Another awesome video Ben thoroughly enjoyable could watch all day thanks
Awesome scrapping Aussie style!
Hi, I'm from Iraq. I live in Baghdad. I love you. I love your work. It's nice. I wish I was with you. I love you very much.
You're always finding these nice barrels -- I have never seen anything like them in the USA.
That old guy with the "amalgamator", apparently you have elderly people watching their windows all day, waiting for you to come by!
That was a nice big stack of Instantaneous Water Heaters - love getting those!
This was better the 2nd time I watched!!
The 1st time I had to watch in sections, this time almost straight through. That's gotta be a big barrel full of cords! 👍👍🔌🔌🔌
I thought it was always hot in Australia! I need to move there it is hotter than hell in San Antonio Texas! I just love the way you talk about cord cutters as if you're different all the while you're cutting cords. Lol
Looking forward to the tankless water heater scrap. Should be interesting.
Your funny Ben! You leave your truck, then go back to get a glove and rummage only with the hand without the glove. We can tell you get excited to “scrap”. He he
What a nice old man.
cool thanks, have you ever considered putting your various items cords, copper, etc directly into barrels or bins? seems like you could cut your manual input down a lot
Just opened to see for a new video. Haven't watched yet but I'm excited to watch (1hour that's a bonus)! I've watched all your videos and I haven't seen one I've not liked! I'll comment on the content when I'm done watching. Thanks Ben!!!!!!
A missed PC at 27.24!! Under the mattress!
Euro Recycling I was just going to comment this
yep
I thought I saw that as well, bummer
Luke Webster :) Haha, yea, I was sure I am not the only one!
Saw this too xD
i've watched all your videos i've learned a lot, australia and america are so much alike but your driving on the wrong side of the street!! lol Love your vids
I’m really enjoying your videos
I had to watch 5 minute at a time (busy day) I just completed. Another GREAT video Ben! I'm going to start from the beginning this week and start to watch ALL your videos again! It's going to take months for me to tell you about the effect your videos had in my life. Because I can only add a couple of paragraphs at a time. [[The first place I'd start is at 31 years old, I woke up one morning paralyzed from the waist down. It's been quite a journey that was 16 years ago. I was in the hospital for a month. I've always been an upbeat & positive guy. On day 8 in the hospital I started filling sorry for myself. That was the only day that I can remember that was really bad.]] I have a lot more to share with you and I don't even know if you are going to remember or even see this post, especially keep track of my crazy life. I'm going to use double brackets like these [[ ]] in between these I'll put the info of my life/journey! Please keep scrapping, keep the videos coming. You're a GREAT inspiration and THANK YOU, BEN!!!
Thanks Shane, I appreciate your comments & life journey, it's just great to hear your doing ok and your inspired by my video's, even though the early ones are quite shaky but i'm getting better at it and hope to continue doing more video's over time
as I said I was going to watch your vids from the beginning. I just watched your 1st 3 videos, just finished the gold stacking video with you having a good time with a good smoke and drink! Yes your voice sounds more steady and to the point!!! Still love the early years.
Thanks again ben mate keen to see whats in those hot water systems and the business phones
Nice scrap picking Ben.
that old man was really nice
1:28 "You gotta be in it to win it"
Aint that the truth. 🏆
Nice video ben a lot of batterys out there this week
I’d love to see a video showing off the vintage collection. Great score on the Mac.
Good stuff! Love the videos
@ 51:09 He is the same gentleman that gave you the sewing machine a couple weeks back.stay safe in all you do
Each week it's a different area, once a year
this great thank you for the videos
You have become quite the little cord cutter.😂😂😂😂
I'm amazed you don't use an GPS to keep track of your route or find your way home. We don't have rubbish days here in the USA, trash day is every week and except for large items like sofas and refrigs you can put out any week.
Like to see you scrap out the water heaters.
just got back from a little vacation, couldn't help myself and picked a PC and some nice copper wire about 800 miles from home.lol
Nice score with the small hot water system's each 1 should have 2.5 KG of copper in side in the shape of a square tank what a day for you champ just keep on trucking
looks like there setting u up Ben with batteries for a new competition haha
ben i scrapped out a power macintosh 7600/120 this week...it was in great shape i bet it still worked.
Nice Ben, those rheem instant hot water heaters have a min of 10 lbs of copper in them.! I've had larger ones that have 19 lbs of copper and each one has a lb or 2 of brass. Nice score!!
Ok you finally said magpies. Now ill look them up
I love your videos I see them all, I'm from Argentina I'm subscribed to your channel and I have activated the little bell
You're getting famous! I think you missed a PC under that mattress.
You can make a worm for a moonshine still with that copper
There is very good copper in the hot water units.
would be perfect with a van that runs off eletricity and has solar panels on the roof so its constantly charged then you save on petrol :3
Take the BOX. you are only going to put them in ANOTHER BOX. BEN.
Hello Ben from Los Angeles Ca.
Loved it well done wish I'd lived near wear you am I'd be in my heaven ...i live in England in a place called bilston west Midlands check it out ...no hard rubbish here though 😃 keep them coming and keep it tidy lol 👍👌👍
I've started a little bet with my self by guessing how far into the vid you say "It all adds up". Today was 4:12 and I was out by 38 seconds. :)
Hi from Newcastle NSW
41:45 what a huge circuitboard!, new competition how many kg of cords Ben collected? answer : 55 kg , do i get a price Ben ? 😆
Oh no, you missed all that brass on the old bed @ 32:00 😂
Those gas water heaters @ 43:20 have awesome copper in them. Lol I just posted on the forum about them before watching the video today.
Yeah I saw that, I think the one's I found are solar, not sure if it's the same thing but I guess it would be
I think you missed the desktop computer under the mattress at 27:26 and copper hvac tubing at 14:07. Otherwise good pick.
Ben you really do live in the ANTARCTIC 10 c lowest ever night time temp in Nth Queensland..
Missed the aluminum pots at the end :)
Its freezing in Brisbane at 4am today.
hey ben im 13 on a bike and i do the same as you
That's great, being on a bike you get to see stuff we don't driving around, most good things are hidden in bags & boxes
eWaste Ben yea that whats good about it
but it to far now so there is always next year
oh and good find
I'm 2 and I pooh my nappies..
eWaste Ben I enjoy watching you on utube. How would you go by finding what streets and county's and day they would be picking it up.Dont know how to get started looking here in the states.if you can help I would be so appreciative
Should drop one of your cards off at that plumbers place. May lead to more of those heaters and ewaste for you .
how crazy some people a re leaving the motherboard and cpu and nice batterys 28 kgs of pick up cords guess what doing tomorrow morning u win a gold bar just got me in picking jealous scrap mode in a nice way tho 🤑🤑🤑🤑
Nice brass on timber? On wood! Timber is used when talking about trees not cut yet. Look up on google
Is there some sort of Special Rubbish Day in Australia - where you can bin anything?
Thanks Ben, i would really like to learn more about scrapping electronics. I know next to nothing. Any advice sir?
Go through his old videos. He made several instructional videos on the topic. I learned quite a bit from this guy. He knows his stuff for sure.
Ben check down the backs of lounges and chairs FOR CASH COINS AND NOTES.
If those were rice cookers at 1:00:15, then you missed the aluminum pots
How come you never get small fans? Stainless, motor, steel, copper insulated cable? It just keeps giving!
A question that you ask with all the cables that you are in? Do you burn them to get the copper?
No, that's illegal and scrap yards won't take them.
Evening everyone
far out.. you just about installed that CPU cooler when it fell out of ya hand at 56.08
oohhhh yeeeeeeeeehhhhh
You won't get hungry for a while with all that cord food mate
What's with all the barrels??
👍
deja un compresor de refrigerador y se lleva dvd ._.
Why not take the speakers?
if you see vinyl records grab those and throw them in acetone and laugh even the little kid records 1960s to 1990s
I know this was 3 year ago but u missed the pc under the mattress
i love Copper and brass. Not sure if they take cords like that here in the uk. Anyone know
why didnt you get the leafs?
Are petrol lawnmowers not worth anything there?
Hi Ben, I was wondering how you get the gold banded crystal osilators off boards, because when I try to pull them off with pliers only half breaks off , and when I try to knock them off with a screwdriver I can only get off half
A big flat screwdriver, line it up on the wide side of the oscillator and push right to left, it will pop off, i'll do a few in the next scrapping video in a couple days and show you
eWaste Ben thank you so much for the information. Thanks again and keep scrapping
I had a black emac
fill all batterys with water you get more money for them
Scrap vulture leaves a couple of inches of cable in case someone wants to put a cable back on and use the item, just saying.
charles mclachlan I've come across that on some things I've wanted to see it works, the cords been cut. It takes me about 5 to 10 minutes to open it & there's always more than 2 inches of cord on the inside. I always. leave my cords fully intact and cut them from the circuit board. I save some them for times like that so I can splice it inside. That is safe and it looks new when/if you resale. (make sure you use one of the cords that match so the bigger square insulated part fits like a glove when you put it back together) Works well on most dvd/vhs & other electronics but not all.
Hi I took wire to scrap yard and they told me that all cords are 15 cents a lb do to the tariffs is it true are scrap values going down
no you got ripped
Ok thanks ben
Old Macs are becoming increasingly rare and will go for a huge amount in eBay soon. Look at old NeXT computers now going for $5000 on eBay. Save old Macs and refurb them for resale, dont scrap them.
Is that the same man where you got the old projector?
